The International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued an advisory opinion on July 19, 2024, declaring Israel's occupation of Palestinian territoriesβincluding Gaza, West Bank, and East Jerusalemβas unlawful under international law. The ruling stated that Israel must end its occupation "as rapidly as possible," evacuate all settlers, and halt any new settlement activities. The ICJ found that Israel's annexation policies and use of territory resources, particularly water, violate the Hague Convention and breach the Palestinian right to self-determination. It also underscored that the occupation is illegal as it acquired territory by force, which is prohibited. The court called on all states to not recognize Israel's occupation as legal nor assist in maintaining it, and urged international bodies, including the United Nations General Assembly and Security Council, to determine actions to end the occupation [1][2].
Following the ICJ ruling, on September 18, 2024, the UN General Assembly adopted Resolution ES-10/24 demanding Israel withdraw completely from the occupied Palestinian territories by September 18, 2025. The resolution also mandated an embargo on arms and trade linked to Israeli settlements in these areas and called for reparations to Palestinians for damages caused by the occupation and apartheid regime. The resolution emphasized ending Israel's apartheid policies, return of seized Palestinian property, and allowing displaced Palestinians to return [1][3].
As of September 18, 2025, the deadline set by the UN, Israel remains obligated under international law to comply with the orders to vacate the Palestinian territories and cease its control over Gaza and adjacent sea areas. The ICJ and ICC rulings collectively mandate Israel must respect Palestinian sovereignty over all occupied lands, including Gazaβs maritime zones, cease blockades, and end any form of forcible displacement or settlement activity. The international community is urged to support enforcement measures and hold Israel accountable for non-compliance, including through sanctions and peacekeeping actions [3][5].
These rulings constitute a historic affirmation by the highest international legal authorities against Israel's occupation policies, affirming Palestinian rights under international law and demanding immediate cessation of occupation and apartheid practices [2][3].

The Israeli dream is over! This is how the opening words of the Israeli newspaper Haaretz came with the title: "Palestinians are the best people of the world in defending their homeland." Can it be believed that a leading Israeli newspaper today recognizes the truth of the Palestinians, describing them as one of the most noble peoples of the earth who rose up to defend their rights after seventy-five years, as if they were one body?
One of the most wonderful things at which a living conscience beats, the most beautiful things at which intellectual freedom blossoms, and the purest things that bears empowerment. Read what the author wrote: During the war on Gaza and the anti-missile attacks on us, our losses were in excess of $912 million every three days, from the cost of fighter jets, patriot missiles, and refueling machinery, as well as the consumption of ammunition and missiles of all kinds. This is not including the trade shutdown, the collapse of the stock market, the paralysis of institutions and construction, the collapse of agriculture and industry, the death of poultry on farms by millions of dollars, some airports and trains being stopped, the cost of accommodating refugees to shelters, not to mention the destruction of resistance missiles on homes, shops, cars and factories.
We started this war and set fire to it, but we are not going to control it, and we certainly are not going to end it. Her end is not in our favor, especially after the Arab cities inside Israel surprised us with rising against us, while we thought it had lost its Palestinian identity. This is a somali poem and cannot be translated contextually. As for the Palestinians, they are truly the owners of the land. Who else defends her with his soul, money and his children with such strength, pride and challenge? I, a Jew, challenge all of Israel to come into this deep belonging and connection to the land.
If our people really held onto the land of Palestine, we wouldn't have seen such huge numbers of Jews rush to airports to migrate since the beginning of the war. We have tasted the bitterness of killing, imprisonment, siege and separation, we have drowned them in drugs, and we have tried to invade their minds with perverted ideas that took them away from their religion, such as liberation, atheism, doubt, corruption, and anarchy. But what's amazing is that you find a drug addict among them rising up to defend his land and its property, shouting "Allah Akbar" as if he were a Galilee scientist.
Rather, they, despite knowing what awaits them from humiliation and arrest, never hesitated to go to the Al-Aqsa Mosque for prayer. Ironically, the armies of countries in full force did not dare to do what the Palestinian Resistance offered in a few days, where the legend of the indomitable Israeli soldier fell, and he was killed and kidnapped. And since the resistance missiles have reached Tel Aviv, it's best to leave Israel's delusional big dream. Palestinians should have a neighboring country with which we live in mutual peace, that alone may prolong our lives on this land a few more years.
I believe that even if we continue for a thousand years - if we can survive for the next ten years as a Jewish state - there will come a day when we will pay for everything. The Palestinian will come back again, time after time, and this time he will come on the wake of Gawada towards "Tel Aviv".
Spread widely before it is deleted, it is an exceptional article and of great value.

Israeli settlers storm Khirbet al-Rakeez in Masafer Yatta, south of occupied Hebron.
Over 16,000 world artists have signed open letters against the war on Gaza.
Most of these open letters have called for the end of genocide, humanitarian access across Gaza, the end of weapons supplies to Israel, calls for a ceasefire, and compliance with the ICJβs ruling, which requires Israel to take measures to protect civilians from further harm.
Of the creative industries speaking out the most, those in the music industry have amassed the most signatures, about 7,800, followed by the Film/TV industry with more than 4,500, and the literature and publishing industry with 2,900 signatories. Some artists signed open letters across several industries.
