“Why couldn’t I at least bid farewell to my wife when she was killed?”

Veteran Palestinian journalist Wael Al-Dahdouh recounts his anguish when an Israeli terror attack targeted his family’s home, killing several family members, including his wife.

He could not bid her farewell, as her face was unrecognizable after the attack. At the same time, he said he had to continue documenting Israel’s atrocities.

Gaza Genocide – Updates

TOP HEADLINES

· Intensified Attacks: Israeli air and ground genocide forces advance on Gaza City, killing at least 22 Palestinians since dawn. Major medical centre destroyed.
· Diplomatic Shift: France leads a group of six nations in recognizing Palestinian statehood, a move hailed as "historic" but met with political threats from some quarters.
· Deepening Crisis: Gaza's Health Ministry warns hospitals are days from shutting down due to fuel shortages, leading to "certain death" for patients.
· US Diplomacy (Alert - Israel’s might bomb another country during this meetings): President Donald Trump to host a multilateral meeting on Gaza peace, as the US continues to face questions over blocking UN resolutions.

LATEST FROM GAZA: ESCALATING VIOLENCE AND HUMANITARIAN CATASTROPHE

· Intensified Assault: Israeli terror attacks have intensified, with huge plumes of smoke rising over Gaza City. Ground forces are advancing, resulting in at least 22 fatalities reported since this morning.
· Healthcare System Targeted: The main medical centre in Gaza City has been completely destroyed by Israeli shelling, injuring at least two medics. This follows official reports that 1,723 healthcare workers have been killed and 38 hospitals attacked since the genocide began in October 2023.
· Fuel Crisis Critical: The Health Ministry has issued a dire warning that vital hospital departments will be forced to close within "a few days" due to a lack of fuel, a situation that will lead to "certain death" for patients. The blockade has caused a crippling fuel shortage, forcing residents to use toxic alternatives or travel on foot.
· Starvation Deaths: A medical source reports that three more children have starved to death in Gaza, highlighting the severe humanitarian collapse.

DIPLOMATIC DEVELOPMENTS

· Recognition of Palestine: The leaders of six countries, including France, have moved to recognize Palestinian statehood ahead of the UN General Assembly. Palestine's ambassador to France called the decision "courageous" and urged other nations to follow.
· International Isolation: Analysts suggest this diplomatic push "highlights Israel’s international isolation." However, the move faces potential backlash, with Australia's opposition leader, Sussan Ley, stating her party would reverse recognition if they come to power.
· US Trap (Probably Israel might bomb another country): The White House announced that President Trump will hold a meeting with leaders from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkiye, Indonesia, and Pakistan. Reports indicate he will present a new proposal for peace and post-war governance in Gaza.

OCCUPIED WEST BANK AND OTHER INCIDENTS

· Arrests in West Bank: Israeli occupation forces have kidnapped at least seven Palestinians in raids across the occupied West Bank since dawn, including in Qalqilya, Tulkarem, el-Bireh, Jenin, and Beit Ummar.
· Gaza Flotilla Monitored: Drones have been spotted above the ships of the Gaza-bound "Global Sumud Flotilla" for a second consecutive night.

KEY FIGURES (Since October 2023)

· Palestinian Deaths: At least 65,344 killed
· Palestinians Wounded: At least 166,795 injured
· Healthcare Workers Killed: At least 1,723

Later, Macron phoned Trump and, in a lighthearted tone, asked him to "clear the way."
Spain threatens to respond to any Israeli action against the Global Sumud Flotilla

Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares said his country will respond to any Israeli action against the “Global Sumud Flotilla” heading to the Gaza Strip.

A press statement issued by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the minister affirmed that “Spain will respond to any action that violates freedom of movement, freedom of expression, and international law.”

Albares pointed to the peaceful and humanitarian nature of the initiative that set sail from Barcelona, noting that Madrid provides diplomatic and consular protection to all Spanish members of the flotilla.

The Foreign Minister also tasked the ambassador in Tunisia with investigating the circumstances of the recent drone attack on the flotilla’s ships in Tunisian waters.

Earlier, Spain, along with 16 other countries, issued a statement expressing concern for the safety of the flotilla participants and called for refraining from any illegal or violent acts against them.

The document stressed that violations of international law — including attacks on ships in international waters or unlawful detention — would entail accountability.
The Israeli genocide army detontated out-of-service armoured personnel carriers in Al-Sabra neighborhood, Gaza City, to destroy nearby buildings.

This comes amid an ongoing, wider ethnic cleansing campaign aimed at emptying the city of its one-million population to make room for the eventual takeover of land in favor of the colonial Israeli projects.
