Jeremy Corbyn-led Gaza inquiry kicks off in London
An event examining the UK’s role in Israel’s war on Gaza, hosted by former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn, is under way in London.
“The suffering of the Palestinian people have gone on for a long time, but 63,000 have died since October 2023, and we’re watching livestreamed on television children being starved to death,” Corbyn said in his opening remarks at “The Gaza Tribunal”.
“It is our job as members of parliament, it is our job as citizens to hold our government to account for what is going on,” said Corbyn, now an independent MP launching a new left-wing party.

⚡️Google has come under intense criticism after signing a $45 million contract with the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office in June 2025 to run a digital advertising campaign on YouTube and Display & Video 360, aimed at promoting official Israeli messages during genocide operations in Gaza.
One of the key ads featured a video by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs falsely claiming that there is food in Gaza, which garnered over 6 million views through paid promotion. The campaign was coordinated through the Israeli government advertising agency (Lapam), directly affiliated with the Prime Minister’s Office.
Google’s role in this campaign has faced growing criticism, particularly in relation to the Nimbus project, a cloud partnership providing infrastructure for the Israeli regime and it's occupation military, raising questions about the involvement of major tech companies in supporting and justifying state violence.
