The terms "Middle East" and "Far East" are Eurocentric, originating from a British colonial perspective—Egypt was "Middle East" relative to London, India "Far East," and the USA "Far West."
Let’s decolonize our language! If we keep saying "Middle East," shouldn’t we call the USA the "Far West"?

The Ancestry of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and the Semitic Peoples: A Historical Perspective

Who Was Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) Before Islam?

Before receiving the first revelation at age 40, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was known in Mecca as a trustworthy and honest man. He was born into the Quraysh tribe, which traced its lineage back to Ishmael (Ismail), the son of Abraham (Ibrahim). Muhammad (pbuh) lived as a respected merchant and was called Al-Amin (the Trustworthy) by his people. He practiced the religion of his forefathers, which was a form of monotheism but had become mixed with local polytheistic traditions.

The Semitic Peoples and Their Roots

Semitic peoples are those who speak Semitic languages and share a common ancestry traced to the ancient Middle East. Both Arabs and Jews are considered Semitic.

- Abraham (Ibrahim) is the common ancestor.
- He had two sons: Isaac (Ishaq) and Ishmael (Ismail).
- Isaac’s descendants became the Jewish people, through his son Jacob (Yaqub), who had 12 sons—the founders of the Twelve Tribes of Israel.
- Ishmael’s descendants became the Arab peoples, including Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Abraham (Ibrahim) wife's:
Sarah was the mother of Isaac.
Hagar (Hajar) was the mother of Ishmael.

This means Jews and Arabs are cousins, descended from two brothers, both sons of Abraham.

Shared Semitic Languages: Arabic and Hebrew

Arabic and Hebrew are both Semitic languages, sharing many similarities. Here are some examples:

- Peace
- Arabic: سلام (*salaam*)
- Hebrew: שלום (*shalom*)

- Book
- Arabic: كتاب (*kitab*)
- Hebrew: ספר (*sefer*)

- Day
- Arabic: يوم (*yawm*)
- Hebrew: יום (*yom*)

- God
- Arabic: الله (*Allah*)
- Hebrew: אל (*El*) or אלוהים (*Elohim*)

Similar sentences:

- How are you?
- Arabic: كيف حالك؟ (*kayfa halak?*)
- Hebrew: מה שלומך? (*ma shlomkha?*)

- God is Great
- Arabic: الله أكبر (*Allahu Akbar*)
- Hebrew: אלוהים גדול (*Elohim gadol*)

These similarities highlight the deep linguistic and cultural connections between Arabs and Jews.

On Antisemitism

Since both Arabs and Jews are Semitic peoples, discrimination or hatred against Arabs is also antisemitic. The term "antisemitism" historically refers to prejudice against Jews, but linguistically it encompasses both Arabs and Jews due to their shared Semitic roots.

Historical and Modern Context: Zionism

- Zionism is a political movement that began in Europe in the late 19th century, advocating for the establishment of a Jewish homeland in Palestine. Not all Jews are Zionists, and not all Zionists are religious Jews. The movement was largely led by European Jews and has shaped modern Arab politics and destroyed the Jewish religion and introduced terrorism to Arab lands. Zionism is Nazism.
- It's important to distinguish between Jewish people (an ethnoreligious group descended from Isaac) and Zionism (a political ideology).
- European, Russian, and American Zionists are not Semitic.

Conclusion

- Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was a Semitic Arab, descended from Abraham through Ishmael.
- Jews and Arabs are cousins, sharing ancestry, culture, and language.
- Arabic and Hebrew are closely related Semitic languages, with many similar words and structures.
- Antisemitism, by definition, includes prejudice against both Jews and Arabs.
- Understanding these shared roots can help foster dialogue, empathy, and peace.

At least 11 Palestinians, including aid seekers, have been killed in recent Israeli terror attacks on Gaza. These terror attacks continue to target civilians attempting to receive humanitarian aid, underscoring the dire situation on the ground.

International condemnation grows over Israeli regime settlement plans in the West Bank. Far-right terrorist Bezalel Smotrich announced intentions to approve construction of over 3,000 homes in the E1 area, a move that would bisect land designated for a future Palestinian state. The United Nations spokesperson Stephane Dujarric warned this would effectively end prospects for a two-state solution, while EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas condemned the plan as a breach of international law.

The humanitarian crisis deepens with starvation deaths rising. Four more hunger-related fatalities were confirmed in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Palestinians who have starved to death during the conflict to 239, including 106 children.

Casualty toll from Israel’s genocide on Gaza is staggering: at least 61,776 people killed and 154,906 wounded since the conflict escalated.

Political tensions escalate as Hamas official Izzat al-Risheq condemns Israeli terrorist Itamar Ben-Gvir’s visit to the jail cell of Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti. Barghouti’s wife, Fawda, highlighted the harsh conditions faced by Palestinian prisoners under Israeli detention.

Germany urges Israel to halt West Bank settlement construction, responding to the far-right finance minister’s announcement, emphasizing the threat such actions pose to peace prospects.

Palestinian armed groups remain active: The Mujahideen Brigades claimed to have struck an Israeli Merkava tank in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood, where fighter jets continue to patrol heavily.

At least 20 Palestinians were reportedly kidnapped during Israeli occupation forces raids in the West Bank, adding to the ongoing tensions and humanitarian concerns.

The family of Palestinian football legend Suleiman al-Obeid mourns his death, after he was killed in an Israeli terror attack while waiting for humanitarian aid on August 6. His brother lamented the loss both personally and for Palestinian football.

Global voices call for attention to Gaza’s suffering: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan described the situation as a humanitarian catastrophe testing the conscience of humanity, urging the world not to view the crisis as confined to a narrow conflict zone but as a profound moral challenge.

This bulletin reflects the ongoing humanitarian and genocide in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, highlighting the urgent need for international attention and action. @GhostPrincess
