"Palestinians do not know the word 'impossible.'" - Fatima Bernawi (Part 1)

Fatima Bernawi (1939-2016) was an Afro-Palestinian freedom fighter widely known as the first woman to organize a paramilitary operation from within the Zionist entity. She smuggled herself into Al-Quds, "Jerusalem,"  age nine from a refugee camp, where she was then raised in the Afro-Palestinian quarter. Fatima would later work as an UNRWA nurse in Qalqilya during the 1967 occupation and saw the atrocities committed by the Zionist occupation first hand. When asked by Zionist interrogators why she became an armed freedom fighter, she simply stated: "because you destroyed Qalqilya."

(Part 2)

Fatima attempted to bomb a movie theater showing a film celebrating the occupation in 1967. Ultimately, the bombing was unsuccessful and she was seized by the IOF, becoming the first female political prisoner of the contemporary revolution. Throughout her life and imprisonment, she always ensured that female freedom fighters who came before her were celebrated and remembered, like Ikhlas Ali who was imprisoned for teaching revolutionary songs and Nafyeh Akilah of the Al-Ard group (one of the first Palestinian revolutionary organizations formed post-Nakba).

During her time in jail, she never folded to the demands of the Zionist entity, remaining relentless, unbreaking, and determined in the face of insurmountable odds. When the Occupation forces attempted to force her to turn on her fellow fighters who were holding IOF soldiers hostage and call for the soldiers release, she refused to speak.

Fatima was released in 1977 in a prisoner exchange and was exiled to Jordan then Lebanon, continuing her work as revolutionary in social organizations. Her legacy as a daughter of Al-Quds inspired generations of strong armed women to take up the struggle and reminded the world: the fight for Black liberation and Palestinian liberation are inherently intertwined and are the first step to ending the iron hold of Western imperialism.

Russian Hackers are good; they collaborate.

The Shadow Brokers took on the NSA in just 14 minutes and leaked all the hacking tools on GitHub.

They were in their systems for months without their notice. They even went on to advance their own tools and used it against them.

North Korea used the leaked tools and capitalized on the ransomeware script to create wannacry.

Can Submarine cables be tapped?

Submarine cables are laid on the ocean floor to connect different regions of the world, enabling high-speed data transmission between continents. They are owned and operated by telecommunications companies and consortiums, with the primary purpose of facilitating global communication.

The answer is yes. Sub cables can be tapped.

Operation Ivy Bells was a joint United States Navy, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and National Security Agency (NSA) mission whose objective was to place wire taps on Soviet underwater communication lines during the Cold War.

As Edward Snowden revealed in an archive he released, the NSA taps the chokepoints with submarines such as the USS Jimmy Carter, which has been called "the Navy's underwater eavesdropper."
