Jabalia Refugee Camp
Gaza's Mountain and Israel's Nightmare
In the past week, Israel has launched new attacks on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
The attacks include both air and on-ground operations.
This new round of hostilities comes after Israeli withdrawal from northern Gaza earlier this year, after the alleged dismantlement of Hamas capabilities and power in the area.
The renewal of an on-ground invasion in territory the IOF already operated in and claimed βvictoryβ raises questions concerning Israel's ability to achieve any tangible victory against Palestinian resistance.
In addition to that, the fighting in Jabalia is reported to be more intense than before, displaying the power the resistance still possesses in the area.
The Israeli army claimed that the fighting taking place is "perhaps the fiercest we have encountered".
The current situation exposes the lack of direction the Israeli government is facing.
They withdraw from a location claiming to have achieved βcomplete victoryβ, only to return to that same location, suffer more losses and face stronger resistance.
This lack of direction has also increased tensions within the Israeli government.
On Saturday, Benny Gantz threatened to quit the coalition government if Netanyahu does not provide a clear post war plan.
In Summary
π»Israel renewed attacks on Jabalia refugee camp this past week
π»The Israeli forces are facing fierce resistance in the area
π»Israel did not eradicate the resistance in the north as they initially claimed
π»Tensions are on the rise within the Israeli government
