Palestinian teacher shot while giving first aid.

Teacher, father, hero. Jawad Buwaqneh was killed for trying to save someone's life. This is Israel's occupation. This is what they do. Palestinian people need protection from this brutal and ceaseless military machine.

Israeli occupational forces shot dead a 57-year-old Palestinian teacher who went to give first aid to a fatally wounded militant, according to paramedics and family.

Jawad Bouaqneh, a father of six, was killed outside his family home in Jenin refugee camp.

It came during a night of Israeli army raids in the occupied West Bank.

His death raises the number of Palestinians killed this month to 17, including civilians and militants.
A Russian military aircraft secretly transported €140m in cash and three anti-tank missiles it had captured (British NLAW and US Javelin & Stinger) to an airport in Tehran on August 20 in return for dozens of deadly drones for its war in Ukraine.
Thousands of protesters, coming from all over the country mostly peasants, unionists, indigenous people and students took to the streets of #Lima to demand the resignation of #DinaBoluarte.

To date there have been more than 50 deaths.

Turkey earthquake: Death toll could increase.

The death toll from a strong earthquake in south-eastern Turkey, near Syria's border, could rise eight-fold, the World Health Organisation has warned.

The toll, which currently stands at more than 3,400 people, has increased rapidly since the first earthquake struck early on Monday morning.

About 12 hours later, a second powerful tremor hit further north.

Rescuers have been combing through mountains of rubble in freezing and snowy conditions to find survivors.

Countries around the world are sending support to help the rescue efforts, including specialist teams, sniffer dogs and equipment.

The US Geological Survey said the 7.8 magnitude tremor struck at 04:17 local time (01:17 GMT) at a depth of 17.9km (11 miles) near the city of Gaziantep.

Turkey has declared a three-month state of emergency in 10 provinces hit by massive quakes. The country has confirmed 3,549 deaths. Also more than 8,000 people have been rescued by the 53,317 search and rescue staff and support personnel currently working in earthquake zone so far.
Three powerful earthquakes of magnitude 7.8, 7.6, and 6 on the Richter scale jolted southern and Central Turkey on Monday. The tremors of the quakes were felt as far as the island of Cyprus and even Egypt. The total toll due to the earthquakes has risen to more than 2549 and is climbing.
Flags in Turkish embassies and missions all over the world are being flown at half-mast to mourn the loss of lives in the earthquake.
The quakes struck at 4:17 am 1.24 pm, and 3:02 pm (local time) respectively. The depth of the first quake, which was also the strongest, was about 17.9 kilometres with the epicentre located about 33 kilometres from Gaziantep, a major city and provincial capital.
