On The day two of the annual performance review dialogue commenced with (EIH) assessing the performance of the hospitality sector, which includes , Ghion Hotel), Hilton Addis Ababa, and Guenet Hotel.
In the 2017 EFY, the sector generated a combined 2.1 billion ETB in revenue, achieving 114% of its target, while profit before tax stood at 564.2 million ETB, surpassing the planned target by 37%. This performance reflects the sector’s ability to maintain momentum despite a competitive and evolving market environment.
During the review, EIH emphasized the need for all subsidiaries to capitalize on the growing market demand and increasing tourist inflow as key opportunities for business expansion. Furthermore, the organization underscored the importance of enhancing customer satisfaction, revising marketing strategies, and upgrading digital platforms and booking systems to strengthen competitiveness and drive sustainable growth in the coming years.

Vendor Invitation Announcement – International Food Service Providers
Ghion Hotel, in collaboration with the Addis Ababa City Administration Culture and Tourism Bureau and Selam Ethiopia, is pleased to invite international food service providers to participate in a major Jazz Festival, one of its kind, to be held for three consecutive days at the Ghion Hotel Garden on February 06 /07and 08, 2026.
The festival will host representatives from more than 50 embassies and diplomatic missions, along with prominent international jazz performers, making it a high-profile cultural and tourism event.
In addition to the cultural cuisine prepared by Ghion Hotel, selected vendors offering international and multicultural food experiences are invited to provide catering services during the festival days.
As space is limited, participation is open to a restricted number of qualified international food service providers. Interested vendors are kindly requested to visit Ghion Hotel in person with their valid business and operating licenses to view the designated area and discuss participation details.
