I've been getting questions regarding this "star of Jacob" that people are talking about.

Best I can tell, it comes from an Israel 365 news article about the upcoming nova star explosion to become visible in the T Coronae Borealis star system.

So I did some digging on this “star of Jacob” thing...
Basically, there’s some jewish folks who are calling this upcoming nova “the star of Jacob” based off of a prophecy in the Zohar (a Jewish Kababalistic writing) and they are also connecting it to Numbers 24:17 (Balaam’s prophecy about the star).

I do not put any weight or confidence at all in the Zohar, or mystic writings of any kind. I trust the Bible alone as the truth.

Regarding the nova star... We don’t know exactly when the nova will explode and become visible… but they suspect it will be this month (September). It will appear as a “new star” in the Corona Borealis constellation.

The Zohar has a prophecy in it that says the “star of the messiah” will appear on the 25th of Elul during a time of great turmoil for Israel.

The 25th of Elul equates to the 28th of September.

So, for obvious reasons some who follow Jewish mysticism are looking at this nova as significant and calling it "the star of Jacob".

It's important to note that the star prophecied in Numbers 24:17 by Balaam was in reference to what we call the "star of Bethlehem" which is the star that the wisemen saw and caused them to come and look for Jesus... and it has no connection at all to the Zohar's writings.

I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

Now... a "new star" appearing in T Coronae Borealis is still interesting of course. But we will keep our eyes on Jesus and see what the Lord does.

“God is good. Our family is good 🙌 Still no power/internet and phone service is spotty. But we do have water. Others in our city have it much worse. Dr. Barry and his chainsaw have been working hard helping clear the trees from our road and drives ways. So many smashed houses and cars...it looks apocalyptic.
The few gas stations and grocery stores that are open are reminiscent of COVID. Cars lined up for blocks to get in and people filling up multiple containers of gas at a time. Grocery store shelves bare and/or cleared out as soon as they are restocked.

The IDF summarizes the Iranian attack:
About 180 missiles were launched from Iran in several volleys at 7:31PM, a large and effective number of interceptions were carried out, and there are a few hits in the center and south.

The IDF clarifies: there is no damage to the air force's competence, the planes or the defense systems. The Air Force will continue to attack tonight in the Middle East in a powerful way.

IDF: Iran is pushing the Middle East to escalate, tonight's event will have consequences. We will do everything necessary to protect the security of the citizens of Israel.

There is a HUGE ISRAELI MEDIA BLACKOUT.

Almost all of the ballistic missiles launched by the IRANIAN 🇮🇷 IRGC Aerospace Forces at Israel 🇮🇱 had hypersonic re-entry vehicles, making them VERY DIFFICULT to intercept and shoot down by the ARROW 2 and 3 anti-ballistic missiles of the IDF.

It’s possible there may be more damage in Israel than we are being told right now.
