Salvation in the tribulation does NOT include "works". AT ALL.
Those who have FAITH will choose to be martyred... just as the martyrs of old were killed because of their faith.
Once the devil can get anyone thinking that works EVER has anything to do with salvation... they are susceptible to grievous errors and lies.
Salvation has always been, and will continue to be by GRACE THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS ALONE.
Ephesians 1:13-14
In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, 25 who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.

Understanding the above also helps to refute the false teaching of the "partial rapture" which claims that "only high performing christians will be raptured"... which is nothing more than works based salvation.
The same applies to the "post-trib" rapture teaching which claims that the church needs to go "through the tribulation to be purified"... again, this is works based salvation.
Salvation = faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.
