Unfortunately, I see far too many of God’s people following a man lifted up on a pedestal, looking to a party to save them, or a nation as their ultimate allegiance… and any criticism of these idols is met with rage, as if it where an attack on God himself.

Why do people defend famous men, instead of the defenseless?

To be clear…

I did not and do not make a claim regarding the status of Billy Graham‘s salvation… that is up to God.

A false ecumenical gospel absolutely did come out of Graham’s mouth in the interview with Robert Schuller .

My main point is to be VERY cautious of following men rather than God regardless of how “highly regarded” they are. It’s very dangerous, has SERIOUS RAMIFICATIONS, and the church has a huge problem in this area. For example, Franklin Graham pushed the vaccine and even claimed Jesus would have as well. Imagine how many people were affected by following that advice?

For example, I have witnessed first hand people hold up Robert Morris like he was a superhuman… and now that his hidden pedophilia has come to light people are shaken in their faith.

The only one worthy of worship and adoration is JESUS. Period.

Fear not. Hold fast. Eyes on Jesus!
