MEXICO: The Jalisco New Generation drug cartel groups staged a series of attacks in the states of Guanajuato and Jalisco.

Last night, shootings began in the municipalities of Irapuato, Celaya, Guadalajara and Zapopan. Part of the streets were blocked by burning cars.

Later, explosions began. The explosions were later determined to have occurred at 11 OXXO convenience stores, as well as a pharmacy and gas station in Guadalajara.

In Zapopan, both cars and public transportation were set on fire.

The Governor of Jalisco assures he is, "Keeping the situation under control."
