Two young children have reportedly died from acute hepatitis, or liver inflammation - as the illness continues to baffle health experts.

46 cases have been detected in Spain, and in three liver transplants were required. Health officials confirmed as a 15-month-old baby and a child aged 6 died.

Most incidences in Europe have been reported in the UK, while the US has also seen dozens of cases and six dead.
