Scientists Consider Dimming the Sun to Save the Climate

The idea has been discussed by the Climate Overshoot Commission - a group of 16 experts looking “to reduce risks should global warming goals be exceeded.”

The scientists suggest “dimming” the sun by spraying chemicals into the atmosphere to reflect some of the sun’s heat away.

Potential drawbacks: floods, famine and who knows what else.
