๐ทFor those wanting to learn Maghribi Calligraphy (Khat). Here is a useful book in English!
Ustadh Ahmed Khelloufi is one of my personal teachers calligraphy. Heโs a very kind man and very helpful in his method of teaching.
Learning calligraphy definitely is a useful skill and hobby.

While at the famous Arabic book fair in Istanbul, I found a publishing house dedicated to publishing Andalusian historical heritage. I couldnโt help myself to speak to the one in charge and check out their books.
Dr. Ali Alnagrat, Libyan born academic is the one is in charge. He is an extremely kind man who is dedicated and serious in publishing Arabic Andalusian literature.
I picked up two of his books on literary criticism of Ibn Layun, an Andalusian scholar of Arabic literature.
Rule of al-Andalus fell long ago but the traces of its scholars still are being benefited by the world to this day!

From one of the well known books on Islamic Creed of Ahlus Sunnah wal-Jamaโah is an-Nur al-Mueen or The Clear Light by Imam Ibn Juzayy al-Andalusi. This book is a must read for beginners learning Islamic creed.
Ibn Juzay was born in Andalusia around 727 years ago. Now we find that this book has spread all around the Muslim world and been translated to a number of languages. Such as: English, Urdu, Bengali, French, Swedish, Malay and Russian.
Imam Ibn Juzayy also has another book on Tafsir of the Quran which is studied by both beginners and Muslim scholars.
On October 30 1340/ 741 AH, Imam ibn Juzayy took part in the battle of Rรญo Salado between the Christian army and the Muslims where it would be his last day on earth. May Allah have mercy on him.

The Andalusian historian and Poet, Lisan ad-Din ibn Khatib said about city:
โThe city (Granada) used to be called the camel hump of al-Andalus.
It is distinguished for its fame and well known high status people.โ
