Imām ibn Abd al-Barr al-Andalusī:

They should not prevent the youth, if he knows something, from speaking about what he has knowledge of. Perhaps a person may be young in age, but an elder with regards to his knowledge. And Allah blesses whom He wills through wisdom and mercy.

🔷The Grand Mosque of Chefchouen.

If you want to see a old Mosque that became one of the first places of worship for the Andalusians coming into North Africa then this one of them.

The Mosque was helped built in the 9th Century Hijra (15th century) by the ruler at the time, Moulay Ali ibn Rashid who helped also founded the city of the mosque, Chefchaouen.

The city, Chefchaouen was founded as a purpose of defending the northern coast of North Africa from growing European powers from invading.

This was also a very critical era for the Muslims because of Andalusians started to migrate out of al-Andalus and into other Muslim lands after fall of Granada in 897AH (1492).

Many Muslims started to migrate to North Africa to rebuild their lives and help establish new cities, villages, buildings, etc. such as Tétouan, Fes and Chefchouen. They helped build their new lives based upon their Andalusian European culture as we can still see today.

It wasn’t untill the 17th century when the final migrants started to settle in Chefchouen after the exile of Muslims from Spain.
