♦️The house of Imām ibn Hazm al-Qurtubī al-Andalusī!
Have you ever wanted to know how the Andalusian house looked like, belonging to the well known scholar known from the east to the west, Imām ibn Hazm?
It is important to know, Imam ibn Hazm came from a wealthy family close to the authority rulership of al-Andalus and his place shows how the wealthy Andalusians lived in al-Andalus.
Part of his place used to be a Masjid, where he would conduct classes in and many students would attend.
The house still remains in Spain and sadly is used as a Hotel. SubhanAllah.

♦️From the pride of the Malikīyah, the top scholar of Andalusia, Imām ash-Shātibī al-Andalusī said in regards to the people who follow their desires:
اتخذوا الرجال ذريعة لأهوائهم
"They take men as an excuse for following their desires."
بحثوا عن أقوال العلماء في المسألة المسؤول عنها حتى يجدوا القول الموافق للسائل فأفتوا به ، زاعمين أن الحجة في ذلك لهم قول من قال : اختلاف العلماء رحمة
"They look for statements of scholars on a particular issue they asked about until they find the answer that pleases the questioner. So they take that fatwa contending that the evidence for that (i.e. their act of seeking that opinion they like) is the statement: 'The difference of opinion amongst scholars is a mercy'.

This poem is easily available and can be found along side in the well known small books of Matūn such as al-Ajrumiyyah, Tuhfah al-Atdfāl, Al-Bayquniyyah, etc.
It is an excellent poem from this top Andalusian scholar, that covers advice for the student of knowledge and can be easily memeorized.

Sirāj al-Mulūk by the one of the top scholars of al-Andalus, al-Imām al-Hāfidh Abu Bakr at-Tartūshī al-Andalusī.
This is a very interesting book which covers many topics on the ruler of the Muslims.
Among the many of topics the author, At-Tartūshī, May Allah have mercy on him, covered:
The Prophet Sulaymān Alayhis-Salām, the just ruler, the oppressive ruler, a ruler who doesn’t ruler by what Allah has revealed, Bayt al-Māl, virtues of being a Muslim ruler, etc.
Imām abu Bakr at-Tartushī a-Andalusī, proves through out all the chapters proof from the Quran and authentic sunnah, statements of the Salaf and even some stories in al-Andalus.
A must have book on ever shelf!
