Ans: The ONGC CBT exam typically consists of two sections:
Technical Knowledge and General Awareness/Aptitude. The Technical Knowledge section usually carries the most weight, especially for specialized roles like Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Civil, etc.
Types of Questions:
Theoretical Questions: These include fundamental concepts, definitions, and theoretical applications of core subjects.
Numerical Problems: These test your problem-solving abilities in engineering subjects.
The ONGC CBT exam consists of a total of 85 questions, with a duration of 2 hours. There is no negative marking. The breakdown of the sections is as follows: 40 questions on Petroleum and Mathematics, 10 questions on General Awareness, 25 questions on Aptitude, and 10 questions on English.
