Guys, many of you having doubt in semisubmersibles and in SPAR option matching. We getting messages also to clear the doubt. Now read this.
Actually in Semis, Heave responses can be lowered by submerging the lower pontoons and floating at the column or caisson level. With the loss of the waterplane area to reduce the heave response, stability can be regularise. Therefore, the designer must reach a compromise between acceptable heave response and adequate stability.
