I expect Claire Goforth to correct her article. The event planners intended on hosting an all ages drag event but thanks to community pressure it did not happen. Locals put up a hell of a fight at a Cookeville city council meeting before the event and because of activists such as ourselves and others they made the event 18+ at the last minute.

Also let’s not forget that one of the bartenders was cited for serving a minor alcohol DURING THE PROTEST.
