I used to not talk about my vision because I had reached a certain point where it had remained stable for many years and I could manage it, in fact some of my old friends are just finding out now but my current condition is going to decline and I must share it since it is affecting my pace and quality of work.

I was born with congenital glaucoma and if it had not been detected in time my life would be very different
As a consequence, both the pathology and the surgery at 4 months of age were factors that generated other problems such as megalocornea, cataracts, photophobia, astigmatism, keratitis, myopia that in their measure could give me the luxury of being able to see up close but not so well from a distance.
Now it has been more than 1 year since my vision was reduced due to corneal edema causing me to see blurry for several hours and the clarity bothers me to the point of removing the contrast. The only glasses that can help me are pinhole glasses that block out light but reduce the visual field, so I use them in specific cases
My only option is to have cataract surgery and endothelial transplant, but if possible not to wait more than two years. I could give more details but in summary it is an expensive and delicate surgery but with little probability of risk.
How do I feel now? Well, I have my ups and downs from time to time but I know that despite everything I am very lucky to be able to see in my own way today and what better way to appreciate this ability to observe than by drawing! And I will continue to do so until this life allows me to 💪😁🔥

Tengo la urgencia de aumentar los precios por segunda vez este año principalmente para cubrir costos quirúrgicos de mi vista
No solía hablar sobre mi vista porque había llegado a un punto determinado en que se mantenía estable por muchos años y podía manejarlo, de hecho algunos de mis viejos amigos apenas se están enterando ahora pero mi condición actual va a ir en descenso y debo compartirlo ya que esta afectando mi ritmo y calidad de trabajo.

Nací con Glaucoma congénito y si no se hubiera detectado a tiempo mi vida seria muy diferente
Por consecuencia tanto como la patología como la cirugía a los 4 meses de edad fueron factores que generaron otros problemas como megalocornea, cataratas, fotofobia, astigmatismo, queratitis, miopía que a su medida podían darme el lujo de poder ver de cerca pero no tan bien de lejos.
Ahora hace mas de 1 año que mi vista se redujo a causa del edema corneal provocando que vea borroso por varias horas y la claridad me molesta al punto de quitarme el contraste. El único anteojo capas de ayudarme son los estenopeicos que ausenta la luz pero reducen el campo visual, entonces lo uso en casos puntuales
Mi única salida es operarme de cataratas y el trasplante endotelial pero en lo posible no esperar mas de dos años. Podrá dar mas detalles pero en resumen es una cirugía costosa y delicada pero con poca probabilidad de riesgo.
Como me siento yo ahora? pues, tengo mis altibajos de vez en cuando pero se que a pesar de todo soy muy afortunada en poder ver hoy en día a mi manera y que mejor forma de apreciar esta habilidad de observar que dibujando! y seguiré haciéndolo hasta que esta vida me lo permita 💪😁🔥
