قال الإمام ابن رجب - رحمه الله -:

‏قِلّة الغذاء توجب رِقَّة القلب، وقُوّة الفهم،
‏وانكسار النّفس، وضعف الهوى والغضب،
‏وكثرة الغِذاء توجب ضد ذلك.

جامع العلوم والحكم - (٧٩١)

Al-Imām Ibn Rajab rahimahullāh said:

“Lack of food is a means for tenderness of the heart, strong understanding, humility of the soul, weakness of desires and anger. And an increase of food is a cause for the opposite of that”.

(Jāmi’ Al-‘Ulūm Wal-Hikam, 791)

قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية رحمه الله :

‏"أسوء أنواع الكرم هو كرمك في إهداء حسناتك للآخرين :
‏غيبةً ، ونميمةً ، وبهتاناً ، وسبّاً ، وشتماً".

‏مجموع الفتاوى ( ٤٥٤/٨ ).

Shaykh Al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullāh said:

“The worst type of generosity is your generosity in gifting your good deeds to others: Backbiting, gossiping, slander, reviling, and insulting.”

While many of us live in societies where people celebrate Christmas and would like us to show some tolerance towards their beliefs & festivals, we should further our understanding of how vile the belief behind this celebration is.

We live in a time where people feel insulted for being referred to by the gender they are and have always been, yet they want us to be accepting and understanding of their celebration and attributing a son to Allāh!!!

تعالى الله عما يقولون علواًّ كبيراً

Exalted is He and high above what they say by great sublimity.

‎قال العلامة الوادعي رحمه الله:

‌‏ الله أنعم عليك بعقل
‌‏لكن لا لتعارض به الكتاب والسنة؛
‌‏بل لتفهم به الكتاب والسنة

“Allāh has blessed you with intellect, not to contradict the Qurān & Sunnah with it, rather to understand the Qurān & Sunnah with it”.
