Benefit regarding a dhikr from the adhkār said in the morning & afternoon.
There are different narrations of this supplication, some narrations mention that the term نشور (the gathering) is mentioned both in the morning and afternoon.
Commenting on this narration, Ibn Al-Qayyim rahimahullāh said:
“It is the narration which is more deserving to be memorised. This is because the morning and waking from sleep is likened to resurrection and this is life after death and heading to sleep is likened to death and returning to Allāhﷻ (Tahdhīb As-Sunan, 2367).
Allāh ﷻ referred to sleep as death, refer to (39:42).
The messenger ﷺ would also when waking up from sleep:
" الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ ".
Praise is to Allah Who gives us life
after He has caused us to die
and to Him is the return. (Al-Bukhāri & Muslim).

The wife of Abī Muhammad Habīb Al-‘Ajmī woke up one night while he was asleep, she woke him up during the last part of the night (shortly before the time of Fajr) and said to him:
“Get up o man! For indeed the night has gone, the day has come and before you is a long path, our provisions are little and the convoy of the righteous has set out in front of us and we have remained”.
(Sifatus- Safwah, 4/35 - Dār Al-Ma’rifah print).

Mu’āwiyah bin Qurrah (113h) rahimahullāh said: “I reached 70 men from the companions of Muhammad ﷺ if they were to come out amongst you today, they would not recognise anything that you’re upon except the adhān”. (Hilyatul awliyā, (2/299)
Mu’āwiyah bin Qurrah (113h) rahimahullāh was from the tābi’īn and was saying this during that time. If that was the case then, what about now? Allāhul musta’ān.

The importance of the istikhārah prayer.
When the messenger of Allāh ﷺ instructed Zaid bin Hārithah (may Allāh be pleased with him) to go to Zainab bint Jahsh (may Allāh be pleased with her) and mention him to her (for the purpose of marriage), she said: “I will not do anything until I seek my Lord’s counsel” so she stood up and went to her place of prayer. (Muslim)
Imām An-Nawawī rahimahullāh said in his explanation of this hadīth: “In this, is the recommendation of the istikhārah prayer for the one who contemplates upon a particular matter regardless whether that matter appears to be good or not”.
