This is a talk from 2013 in Dammāj, when we were under siege. This talk was part of a conference that was organised whilst we were defending ourselves from the oppression of the Rāfidha.

A great takeaway from this conference was that seeking knowledge continues regardless of the situation and that you have to make the time for it, even when on the front line defending yourself.

Both the shaykh giving the lecture and the translator were killed during the attacks and we ask Allāh that He bestows His mercy upon them and that He honours them with shahādah.

I feel as those it is a duty upon me that I share the khayr that our Shaykh Kamāl and our brother Abu Mu’āwiyah Mustafa put forward.

Very fond memories of the two and till today I remember the last encounter I had with them both.

Abu Abdillah AbdiRahman al-Guyani – The Day of Arafat
This talk was by our beloved brother Abdurrahmān, an elder who was from America by way of Guayan, rahimahullāh. An excellent example of an upright Muslim man, father and a loving brother/uncle, who I had a very close relationship with.

Anyone who met him would be fond of him instantly and would grow to love him dearly.

A true companion of sunnah, honest and caring man.

He devoted his life to the religion of Allāh and was killed defending tis beautiful religion. We ask Allāh that He bestows His Mercy upon, raises him in rank and makes him from the martyrs.

From the amazing stories of our brother and elder was the fact that a beautiful fragrance could be smelt from the wounds on his head where he was bleeding. This was something that thousands witnessed including myself and we ask Allāh that He makes him from those raised on the day of judgement with the blood being the colour of blood but smelling like musk as has come in an authentic hadīth:

Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrated that Allāh’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, "None is wounded in Allāh’s Cause but will come on the Day of Resurrection with his wound bleeding. The colour being that of blood but the fragrance that of musk.” (Agreed upon)
