Imam al-Safarīnī rahimahu’Allah said:

“Calamities vary, and the greatest of them is the calamity in religion. So if you see a person who is heedless of what has afflicted his religion — by committing sins, missing the Friday prayer and the congregational prayers, and neglecting the times of acts of obedience — then know that he is dead, feeling no pain from the calamity. Indeed, you do not make the dead hear.”

Imām Ibn al-Uthaymeen (rahimahu’Allah) said:

“The common people, their affair is problematic. They always describe the Messenger ﷺ as ‘the Beloved of Allah.’ So we say:

‘You have erred and you have diminished your Prophet ﷺ, for the Messenger is the Close Friend (Khalīl) of Allah.

Because if you describe him ﷺ with love, you have brought him down from attaining its ultimate goal.’”

Sh al- Allamah Salih al-Fawzān hafidahu'āllah said

"No one should praise himself, and no one should feel safe from trials so long as he is alive.

As long as a person is alive, he is exposed to tribulation.

Scholars of learned rabbis went astray; their feet slipped, and an evil ending was decreed for them, despite being scholars.

So the danger is severe, and a person cannot feel secure for himself that his foot will not slip into misguidance.”

‎Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:

‎“The martyrs are five: the one who dies from a plague, the one who dies from an abdominal disease, the one who drowns, the one who dies because debris fell on him, and the one who dies fighting in the cause of Allah.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)

‎Al- Allāmah Ibn Bāz rahimahullāh said:

‎“And included with them are those who die due to a vehicle overturning or in a vehicle collision, for indeed this resembles one who dies by collapse (crushing). And martyrdom is hoped for them, but they are washed and the funeral prayer is performed over them, like one who dies from abdominal illness and drowning.”

من يموت في حوادث السيارت

عنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ -
أَنَّ رَسُولَ_اللَّهِ -صل الله عليه وسلم قَال:
(( الشُّهَدَاءُ خَمْسَةٌ : الْمَطْعُونُ، وَالْمَبْطُونُ ، وَالْغَرِقُ، وصَاحِبُ الْهَدْمِ، وَالشَّهِيدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ))

رواه البخاري (٢٨٢٩)

قال الشيخ ابـنَ بـاز رحَـمهُ اللهُ:
ويُلـحق بهـم مَـن يمـوت بانقـلاب السـيارات أو فـي صِـدام السيـارات ، فـإن هـذا يُشـبه الميـت بالـهَدم ، ويُـرجى لـهم الشـهادة لكـن يُغسّلـون ويُصـلى عليـهم ، مـثل مـن يمـوت بالبَطـن والغَـرَق .
