Piety of the parents benefits the children.
Allāh ﷻ said:
“And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the town; and there was under it a treasure belonging to them; and their father was a righteous man…” (18:82).
Ibn Kathīr rahimahullāh mentions in his tafsīr regarding Allāh’s statement:
(“And their father was a righteous man”).
“This indicates that a righteous person’s offspring will be taken care of, and that the blessing of his worship will extend to them in this world and in the Hereafter.
This will occur through his intercession for them, as well as their status being raised to the highest levels of Paradise, so that he may find joy in them. This was stated in the Qurān and reported in the Sunnah.
Sa’īd bin Jubayr rahimahullāh narrated from Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allāh be pleased with him and his father): "They were taken care of because their father was a righteous man, although it is not stated that they themselves were righteous.''
Ibn Kathīr rahimahullāh also mentions that this righteous man was from the forefathers of these orphans, stating that it was their 5th great grandfather, it has also been stated that it was their 8th great grandfather.
This shows that the blessings of a righteous person’s worship can extend to future generations and that if he doesn’t see the good in his own children then it could be that Allāh brings out from his progeny righteous people who benefit him well after he has departed from the dunyā.
Al-Baghawī rahimahullāh mentions in his tafsīr that Sa’īd bin Al-Musayyib rahimahullāh said: “I pray and remember my son and increase my prayers”.
In addition to that which has been mentioned, it is of great importance that a parent supplicates for his children. The messenger of Allāh ﷺ informed us that supplication of the parent for his child is accepted.
“There are three supplications that will undoubtedly be answered: the
supplication of one who has been oppressed, the supplication of the traveller and the supplication of a father for his child." (Abū Dāwūd (1536), At-Tirmidhī (1905) Ibn Mājah (3862) and graded hasan by Al-Albānī rahimahullāh in Sahīh Ibn Mājah 3129).
It is also of great importance that we educate, cultivate and leave a lasting legacy behind for them to have as a foundation to establish their lives upon.
“Or were you witnesses when death approached Ya’qūb? When he said unto his sons, “What will you worship after me?” They said, “We shall worship your Ilāh, the Ilāh of your fathers, Ibrāhīm, Ismā’īl and Ishāq, One Ilāh and to Him we submit (in Islam).” (2:133).

Earn 1000 good deeds in minutes without exerting much effort.
On the authority of Mus’ab bin Sa’d who said: My father (Sa’d bin Abī Waqqās) said: We were with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ when he asked, "Is any one of you unable to earn a thousand good deeds every day?" One of those present asked: "How can one earn one thousand good deeds in a day?" He ﷺ replied, "By glorifying Allāh one hundred times, then one thousand good deeds will be recorded for him or one thousand sins will be blotted out from his record." (Muslims).
In other narrations the wording of this hadīth is:
"By glorifying Allāh one hundred times, then one thousand good deeds will be recorded for him and one thousand sins will be blotted out from his record."
⏹️ Is there a particular manner to glorify Allāh ﷻ to attain this great reward?
Ibn ‘Allān rahimahullāh mentions in his explanation of riyādh as-sālihīn:
“How does one attain 1000 good deeds? He ﷺ replied, "By glorifying Allāh one hundred times. As if he was to say subhānallāh 100 times.
⏹️ The good deed is multiplied by 10. Allāh ﷻ mentions this in the Qurān (6:160).
To add to this great reward you could say:
⏹️ In this great dhikr, one glorifies and praises Allāh ﷻ
⏹️ In the combination of glorifying and praising Allāh ﷻ one is freeing Allāh from all imperfections while also affirming all characteristics of completeness for Allāh, which are the pillars that tawhīd al-asmā was-sifāt are built upon.
⏹️ In addition to this, the messenger of Allāh ﷺ informed us that whoever says this dhikr 100 times in a day then all his sins (minor) will be removed even if they are like the foam of the sea (Al-Bukhārī)
⏹️The messenger of Allāh ﷺ also informed us that whoever says this dhikr 100 times in the morning and afternoon then no one will come on the day of judgement with better than that which he has come with, except for one who does the same or increases upon that. (Agreed upon).
One may also add to this to further increase in good deeds:
⏹️ The messenger of Allāh ﷺ informed us that these are statements light on the tongue, heavy on the scale and beloved to Ar-Rahmān ﷻ (agreed upon).
We ask Allāh ﷻ that he keeps our tongues moist with His remembrance.
