Al-Hāfidh Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali (rahimahullāh) said:
“As for the voluntary acts of worship during the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, they are more virtuous than those performed during the last ten nights of Ramadan.
Similarly, the obligatory deeds in Dhul-Hijjah are multiplied more than those performed at other times.”
[Fath al-Bārī (16/9]

Imām Muhammad Ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen (rahimahu’Allah) said:
Abu Qatadah al-Harith ibn Rib‘i al-Ansari al-Khazraji, may Allah be pleased with him, witnessed the Battle of Uhud and what came after it. He used to be called the horseman (cavalier) of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
He supported the Prophet ﷺ on one of his journeys when he leaned on his riding mount due to sleep. When he awoke, he said to him:
“May Allah preserve you as you preserved His Prophet.”
He died in the year 54 AH in Medina.

Sufyān ath-Thawrī raḥimahu’Allāh was seen in a dream in Jannah, flying from one palm tree to another.
It was said to him:
“What was done with you?” He replied: “I am with the noble and righteous scribes (the honored angels).”
And it was said to him:
“Which deeds did you find to be the best?” He said: “The Qur’an.”
[Siyar Aʿlām an-Nubalāʾ, 7/279]

Sheikh al-Islām Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhāb rahimahu’Allah said:
“If going against the people becomes difficult for you, then reflect upon the statement of Allah, the Most High:
(ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاكَ عَلَىٰ شَرِيعَةٍ مِّنَ الْأَمْرِ فَاتَّبِعْهَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ إِنَّهُمْ لَن يُغْنُوا عَنكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا)
‘Then We have put you on a clear way of commandment. So follow it, and do not follow the desires of those who do not know. Indeed, they can never avail you against Allah in anything.’”
[Surah Al-Jathiyah 18–19]
