Shaykh Al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullāh said:

“The servant was created solely to worship his Lord.

His well-being, perfection, pleasure, joy, and happiness lie in worshiping his Lord and turning to Him in repentance.

This is something beyond merely asking from Him and feeling dependent on Him.”
