Gamehub - Play Store can show your game playtime

If you have any games installed, Google Play Store can show you how long you have played the particular game. The play time is shown besides the game icon.

There are a few more flags which hint at more features related to gamehub. I am not sure if anyone else got it, but I enabled it with a flag (root required) -

Gboard's proofreading mode now works with the selected text

In the new version 13.9 beta, a flag - writing_helper_on_selected_text is added which makes the proofreading mode work on the selected text instead of the whole message.

This will be helpful with very long texts, because proofreading mode may not work with very long texts.

Here is the first look at the document categories changing feature.

a few weeks ago, I shared about Google Photos getting a new category feature. This will allow changing categories of the images which are automatically categorised by Google Photos.

You will see a chip on the top left of the image, tapping it will show two options, one of them is "Change categories", tapping on which shows a category selector page. Here you can change categories (multiple as well).

So there has been some news going on around about Google blocking RCS messages on custom rom which fails some checks necessary for passing play integrity.

I have personally never faced this issue before until I updated my Google Messages beta version today. And the funny thing is - the same issue started happening on older builds of Google Messages as well. The RCS registration is not an issue on any version, it works fine.

This feels like a bug in RCS, rather than Google enforcing Play Integrity for RCS.

If you are on a custom ROM and affected by this, please comment with the Google Message version.

If you have working RCS currently, one thing you can do is to wipe data of Google Messages and then setup again to check if RCS messages fail to send or it still works.

Alright, this shit is real. You need to pass basic & device integrity in order to send & receive RCS messages, registration is not affected though. (I have tested various things but none of them worked)

People already say that RCS is shit & unreliable, Google added one more reason in the list of why it is. 😁
