Notes - The experimental Google Labs icon does nothing for me because I have not opted into this thing and it's not available in my country (IN) as well. So it may and may not work. And also do not expect the universal search to function like Pixels because your Phone might not be a pixel and maybe missing some things.

Google Contacts got an update to version 4.13 and they have added a nice UI for managing all the birthday reminders at one place. You can customize the days before you want the birthday notification. I will share the flag and some screenshots.

Well, maybe just a weird bug or something new? 🤔

This is definitely a feature Google is testing on Play Store to show bottom navigation bar on app detail page when you open an app listing through a URL that you find on the internet or someone shared with you. It does not show navigation bar if you open an app listing normally in the Play Store.

I was wrong about the last part. Actually you can have navigation tabs on details page even when you don't open app listing from a URL. 😁

If you don't like the blue accent in play store, turning off these two flags will bring back the material you colors which we had some versions ago.

Google Calendar updates the "Jump to today" plain and simple boring old icon with a new Dynamic icon which shows today's date.

This thing is not powered by "Google assistant" at all. Just because the UI looks like Google assistant doesn't mean it's powered by Google assistant. I have "Google" app disabled and this thing still works. As soon as I disable "Text to speech" app, the speech recognition just stops working.

So it relies on TTS app as usual like before.
So 🤷‍♂️
