Just some answers regarding usage of @GappsMod app and applying flags.

1. GappsMod required a rooted device. You can download from - https://github.com/jacopotediosi/GAppsMod

2. After Switching a Flag of a particular app, you need to force close it twice to make the change work. Sometimes, even just opening and closing two times works as well.

3. Any change in Flag of Google Play Service itself (not other Google apps) may take a long time and depending on your luck it gets applied within minutes.
If it still don't get it applied, consider deleting the Phenotype folder in /data/data/com.google.android.gms/files folder, then force stop GMS (also a reboot might be needed).

Will add more things if needed. You can also drop a DM if you have questions.

Just a heads-up, this option not only adds the weather but also an option to turn it off from the 3 dot menu on the contact page. This option disables it for all contacts, not individual.

Google Contacts got an update to version 4.13 and they have added a nice UI for managing all the birthday reminders at one place. You can customize the days before you want the birthday notification. I will share the flag and some screenshots.
