My domain register terms got worse over the years and I reached out to them about it. They said "can't do shit".

I set one domain to be moved to another company (reliable, minimalistic, much cheaper). It's literally a few minutes of work and five days to transfer.

Then with their exact terms for each of my domains I moved to my current company. They were like "dang, hold up, we will escalate your case to the second line of support!"

Why companies can't just, you know, do shit right away? Why do you have to kick them? And it never works if you just make a warning, gears only start moving if you set the whole place ablaze.

This crap haunted me for years: if you have a very odd sound on your game or screen recordings on Windows (the exact app doesn't matter), that's because Audio Enhancements were never supposed to be done before such recordings.

And they are wrongly applied on record, then re-applied again on playback. Which makes it sound like a reverb, echo, or cropped sound.

Disable Enhancements in the settings of the specific device, then in your software (OBS / NVIDIA / etc.) do not use the "default" device, pick the exact one.

Also make sure that you run on the same frequency (usually 48KHz) in both recording app and the device. 24 or 32 bits are preferable.

Now you're good.
