Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 :

Seems like SD 7s Gen 2 is basically the improved SD 6 Gen 1. Mainly with better performance.

But it's not a much improved one compared to SD 778G. The performance of 7s Gen 2 might be very slightly better than SD 778G due to slightly higher clock speed but then 7s Gen 2 is using Samsung 4nm and 778G, TSMC 6nm process.

Except this 778G has better download speed, specially with 4G, better ISP too. And in all other categories 7s Gen 2 is very similar to 778.

A new Poco phone, Poco X6 Neo is coming.

Poco X6 Neo is basically Redmi Note 13 without ultrawide camera. Poco X6 Neo will be priced ~17K or 18K.

Basically the direct competitor of Realme 12 5G, and it has better display and better Processor than Realme 12 5G, so if they keep the price similar to Realme 12 5G, Poco X6 Neo could be a better device than Realme 12 5G.
Price will be ~25K-29K

When you're choosing a device and you want a device which should retain charge for long time then you should not only check the manufacturing process (nm) and manufacturer name (Samsung or TSMC) but you should also check these 2 things :

1. Core configuration or CPU configuration : Means which cores are used in that particular SoC.

2. Clock Speed : what are the clock speed of each core on that SoC.

nm + Core configuration + Clock speed - these 3 combined decide how much that particular SoC will consume power

For example :
SoC 1 : suppose A SoC is based on 4nm TSMC process with more powerful cores like Cortex A715 and Cortex A510

SoC 2 : Another SoC based on 6nm but with less powerful cores like Cortex A78 and Cortex A55

Because there is a major difference between core configuration, SoC 2 although it is 6nm but it might give little bit better battery backup because of less powerful cores.

But SoC 1, the 4nm one, with more powerful cores might give you little bit less battery backup.

One more example can be 2 Flagships of this year (9300 and 8 Gen 3) because 9300 have no A5XX series core, all big cores, that's why it is more power hungry than 8 Gen 3 although both are on TSMC 4nm.

So when choosing a SoC mainly for power efficiency you should consider these 3 : nm + Core configuration + Clock speed. 🔴

Yes nm is the most important one but it is not the only factor when you're considering efficiency of a SoC.

And then ofcourse Battery Size and optimisation of phone brands are 2 obvious factors.

If you're thinking to purchase galaxy A55 and have no idea about Exynos 1480 then let me tell you that Exynos 1480 is nothing but over clocked Exynos 1380 with a better GPU...
Yes, Samsung is still using those old A78 and A55 cores on 1480.

So, in terms of CPU Exynos 1480 is very similar to Snapdragon 782g , Dimensity 1080 or 7050...

But as it is Exynos it may not be as efficient as 782g, D1080 or D7050
Realme P1 5G and Realme P1 Pro 5G launching on 15th April in India.

Realme P1 5G
- Dimensity 7050
- 6.67" FHD+ 120Hz Amoled panel, 2000 nits brightness
- 5000mAh, 45W
- 3.5mm jack
- Stereo speaker

Price under 15K (official)

Realme P1 Pro 5G
- SD 6 Gen 1
- FHD+ 120Hz curved Amoled panel
- 5000mAh, 45W
- Stereo speaker
- IP65

Under 20K (official)

Seems like realme P1 is realme 12+ with downgraded camera and slower charging.

Realme P1 Pro is realme 12 Pro with downgraded camera(without telephoto ofcourse) and slower charging
Moto G64 is launching in India on 16th April

Moto G64 is basically the Moto G54 with Dimensity 7025.

Dimensity 7025 is over clocked Dimensity 7020(present on Moto G54). Also Dimensity 7020 was the rebranded Dimensity 930.

Dimensity 7300 is ofcourse way less powerful than the Dimensity 7200 but it is not the complete rebrand of Dimensity 920 or 1080 or 7030 or 7050 because all of these SoCs have 2×A78(powerful) cores and 6×A55 (efficiency) cores but.....

Dimensity 7300 have 4×A78 cores and 4×A55 cores and rest all is very similar to D7050, 7300 is nothing but a more powerful D7050 and way less powerful than 7200.

In comparison with Snapdragon counterparts it is ~7s Gen 2.

SD 7s gen 2 is nothing but a rebranded Snapdragon 778G or overclocked SD 6 Gen 1 (whatever you want to say)

So, D7300 is not a bad SoC but it is way less powerful than D7200 but naming sounds like it is better than D7200 which is completely confusing for any normal consumers
Realme 13 Pro series launching in India, this month
