Last weekend, we were deeply grateful to be able to organize another round of rescued veggies / ugly food 🥬🌽🍆🥦🥕 distribution for Yishun residents at our new site.

It truly warmed our hearts to see residents coming by with their reusable bags, taking time to collect rescued produce and being part of this meaningful effort together. These small moments remind us how powerful community can be when we come together with care and intention.

More than just food distribution, this initiative reflects the heart of what we believe in — reducing food waste while nurturing a culture of sharing, sustainability, and respect for our resources. We are thankful to be on this journey with our community, and we look forward to continuing to grow, learn, and make a difference together. 💚🌱

GUI was truly grateful to be part of 🌱 Yuhua Green Day 2026 – Get Ready! 🌱 over the weekend. It was a joyful, hands-on green morning filled with creativity, connection, and care for our environment. Using upcycled wood thoughtfully cut into keychain sizes, our craft team— led by Weijie and Kwa—guided residents through a meaningful crafting experience. Each participant got to design and create their own personalized wooden keychain, turning simple reclaimed materials into something uniquely theirs.

Beyond the crafting, what made the morning especially special was seeing residents connect with one another—sharing stories, ideas, and laughter over a common purpose.

A huge thank you to Yuhua for welcoming us and giving us the opportunity to be part of this meaningful day. We’re grateful to walk alongside the community in taking small but impactful sustainable actions—together 💚

Last month was a beautiful way to begin the year as we came together for our first Townhall at our new site. We gathered with our dear volunteers to reflect on our shared history, reconnect with stories from our old site, and openly share our feelings about moving into a new space built from the ground up. We also spent time dreaming and charting the exciting plans for the year together. 💚 🙏

It was a truly special time to reconnect, to get to know one another more deeply, and to experience our new home as a community.💚

👐 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝑯𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝑻𝒐𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 🌱

We are deeply grateful to our dear volunteers who faithfully showed up over the past few weeks to continue to help bring our new site to life. Together, we tended to the farm, added fresh greenery with grass and trees, dismantled pallets, repaired bicycles and even had little hands helping alongside us, accompanied by cheerful chatter that brought so much joy to the space. We were also blessed to enjoy sumptuous meals prepared by our Chefs week after week.

A special thank you as well to Bingyu, who shared our journey from the old site to the new one with our Balik Kampung volunteers. Reminiscing through the stories and pictures he shared was truly meaningful. It was a beautiful reminder of why GUI is a place imbued with the spirit of nature—one that nurtures and endows people with talent, grace, and heart. 💚
