My personal comfort theory is that GTA V is indeed set in another universe. See, the whole neighborhood is different, the Arena’s in the wrong place, and the cul-de-sac doesn’t have Ryder’s home there. So… technically nothing’s happened to our Grove Street, it’s just a whole different Grove Street altogether.
