🔆 Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA)

📍 Component of:

* Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY)

📍 Aim:

* To facilitate cashless transactions and manage financial aspects related to healthcare services under the Ayushman Bharat scheme (ABS).

📍 Key Features:
✅ 14-digit account number: Used to link all health records of a person.
✅ Methods to get ABHA health ID:

* Use Aadhaar number and basic details (name, birthday, gender, address).
* If no Aadhaar, use driver's license or mobile number.
✅ Objective:
* To create a digital health ecosystem and promote digitization of healthcare.
✅ Open for all: Any individual can enroll under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) to generate a Health ID or ABHA, free of cost.
✅ Real-time Monitoring:
* Tracks fund utilization and ensures resources are allocated efficiently.
✅ Promoting digital transactions:
* Enhances transparency and accountability, reducing corruption.

* Each beneficiary is assigned a unique health identification number (UHID) for tracking and management.
✅ Funds Management:
* Manages allocation and disbursement of funds for healthcare services.
✅ Claim Settlement:
* Settles claims from healthcare providers and ensures timely payments.

* Monitors fund utilization and detects discrepancies.

🔘UDGAM Portal

Developed by : RBI

Aimed at : It facilitates the registered users to search unclaimed deposits/accounts across multiple banks at one place in a centralised manner. The unclaimed deposits can be claimed only from the respective bank.

▪️There are 30 banks, which are part of UDGAM portal, and they cover around 90% of unclaimed deposits(in value terms) in Depositor Education and Awareness (DEA) Fund of RBI.

#UDGAM portal is Unclaimed Deposits -

Gateway to Access inforMation, according to the RBI. It is a centralized online portal developed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to help individuals search and potentially recover unclaimed deposits from various banks.

These are deposits in savings or current accounts that have remained inactive for 10 years, or fixed deposits not withdrawn within 10 years of maturity.
