e-voting System in Bihar

Bihar State Election Commission has decided to roll out an e-voting system using an Android-based mobile. Bihar will be the country’s first state to adopt this.

This will help voters especially, migrant labourers, migrant voters, divyang voters, pregnant female voters, elderly and senior citizens, and seriously ill electorates will be able to cast their votes using the e-voting process and without visiting polling booths.

As per information available, only the European country Estonia has rolled out this.

The Price Support Scheme (PSS) is a key component of the Indian government's strategy to ensure remunerative prices for farmers and to stabilize the market for agricultural produce. Implemented under the broader Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA) scheme,


the PSS focuses on the procurement of pulses, oilseeds, and copra when their market prices fall below the Minimum Support Price (#MSP).

When market prices of notified pulses, oilseeds, and copra fall below the MSP, the government, through designated agencies like #NAFED and #NCCF, procures these commodities directly from farmers.
