पुलिस हिरासत

✅ पुलिस हिरासत से तात्पर्य उस स्थिति से है जब किसी व्यक्ति को पुलिस स्टेशन में हिरासत में लिया जाता है, जब यह माना जाता है कि उसने कोई अपराध किया है
✅ इसमें अभियुक्त को 24 घंटे के भीतर मजिस्ट्रेट के सामने पेश होना आवश्यक है
✅ इसमें जांच अधिकारी किसी व्यक्ति से पूछताछ कर सकता है
✅ पुलिस हिरासत में, व्यक्ति को कानूनी सलाह का अधिकार है और उन आधारों के बारे में सूचित किए जाने का अधिकार है जिन्हें पुलिस को सुनिश्चित करना है
✅ 15 दिन की पुलिस हिरासत के बाद, जांच की अवधि के दौरान आगे की रिमांड केवल न्यायिक हिरासत में ही हो सकती है।
यदि अभियुक्त किसी भिन्न मामले में संलिप्त है, जो अलग कारण से उत्पन्न हुआ है, तो 15 दिन की रोक लागू नहीं होगी।
