Dearly beloved GPC family, as heard from Sunday's sermon about being a neighbour to those around us, let us reflect the love of Christ, who came from heaven to earth, lived among humankind, showed compassionate towards us, and died for our sins so that we might live. He has shown us the perfect example of what it means to love our neighbour as ourselves!

Today, let's take time to pray for our neighbourhood around GPC, the Toh Yi Estate, and also for ourselves as individually and communally as a church to increasingly love those around us with the love of Christ.

Prayer for our neighbours in Toh Yi (those staying and working there)
- that non-believers they will come to hear and receive the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- that those who are isolated and vulnerable will be properly identified and have the proper support provided for them (through family members, other neighbours, community services and social support agencies).
- that more will be receptive to our presence in the neighbourhood and will be willing to accept our invitation to church events.

Prayer for the church community
- that God will create touch points for us to interact with our neighbours and let us spread the aroma of Christ to all that cross our paths.
- that through the outreach committee we will be able to build good rapport and collaborative partnerships with the grassroots leaders and local agencies serving Toh Yi, so that GPC can have a long term reach to the neighbourhood.
- that newcomers / seekers who step into our church will be made to feel welcome and experience a community filled with God's love.

Prayer for ourselves
- that we will intentionally befriend those we come across around church on a weekly/ regular basis (at the market / hawker stalls, shophouses etc.).
- that we will willingly and joyfully step forward to serve in our church's efforts to reach the Toh Yi community.
- to build good relationships with our neighbours as good witnesses for Christ, and to seek opportunities to share the gospel with those who are non-believers.

See you on 5 Mar for our Church-wide Online Prayer!

Thank you for lifting up our church in prayer today. May we be blessed in encountering the Lord's presence in prayer! React with a ❤️ when you've prayed!

Dearly beloved GPC family, most of us would have read or heard about the war and conflict that just unfolded in the Middle East. In light of this, let us urgently come before the Lord in prayer, asking for His help and intervention in this time of need!

Below are 5 ways you can pray over the situation:

1) Prayer for the Protection of Human Life
"Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked." Psalm 82:3-4
- Pray for God’s mercy to preserve the lives of civilians, children, and the vulnerable across the Middle East—regardless of nationality, religion, or ethnicity—and for restraint that prevents further loss of innocent life.

2) Prayer for Peace and De‑escalation
"And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace." James 3:18
- Ask God to interrupt cycles of violence, soften hardened hearts, and open paths toward dialogue, restraint, and de‑escalation among all parties involved in the conflict.

3) Prayer for Wisdom and Accountability of Leaders
"...I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way." 1 Timothy 2:1-2
- Pray that political, military, and spiritual leaders would act with wisdom, humility, and accountability, seeking justice and the common good rather than pride, vengeance, or self‑interest.

4) Prayer for Comfort, Healing, and Provision
"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18
- Lift up those who are grieving, displaced, wounded, or traumatized. Pray for healing, provision of food and shelter, and strength for medical workers, aid organizations, and caregivers serving amid danger.

5) Prayer for God’s Redemptive Purposes and the Church’s Witness
"Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:44-45
- Pray that God would work redemptively even in suffering, drawing people toward repentance, reconciliation, and hope in Christ, and that the Church in the Middle East would be protected, faithful, and a witness of love and truth.

As we continue to read and hear about the situation developing in the Middle East region in the coming days, let us also continue to keep offering up prayers of intercession to God, trusting in His sovereignty to work all things according to His glorious and redemptive purposes! Amen! 🤲

Shalom GPC Missional Family,

As God’s missional people, we come not in our own strength but resting in His sovereign grace and trusting His faithful work among us. Let us seek the Lord together—bringing our praises, our needs, and our hopes before the One who hears and answers according to His perfect will.

Dearly beloved GPC family, let's take time to gather earnestly before our heavenly Father for our Church-Wide Online Prayer @ gpc.sg/joincwop (Zoom) this evening from 8-9pm!

If you are unable to make the prayer meeting tonight, you can still be praying along using the following prayer points throughout the day.

Today we lift up the Befrienders Ministry of GPC before God in prayer. We give thanks for this group of befrienders, many of whom have served faithfully for many years. They have certainly played a big part in making newcomers to our church feel welcome, following up with and connecting them to the church community! Here's how we can be praying for the Befrienders' Ministry, and also our part in making newcomers feel welcome in our spiritual family:

For members serving in the Befrienders Ministry:
(7.30am service— Edr James Heng, Edr Tee Swee Ping, Heng Seoh Gek and Sarah Kwok; 9.30am service— Edr Lionel Suwe, Joe Chiam, Jane Wang, Zinnia Goh, Tan Hwee Tin, Vincent Wong, Isaac Lee,  Thio Hsiao Ming, James Lee and Jenny Tay; 11.30am service— Annabelle Wang, Loh Yok Keong, Desmond Soh and Dawn Chong)
- Pray for unity such that they would serve joyfully and faithfully, not only individually but also together as a team.
- Pray for each befriender to reflect Christ’s love, warmth and humility in their service to welcome visitors in our midst.
- Pray for courage to initiate conversations with visitors, discernment and sensitivity to know when to talk, when to listen, and when to give space; to be guided by the Holy Spirit in all these interactions.
- Pray for wisdom to connect and follow up with returning visitors and help them settle down in GPC.
- Pray for each befriender to continue growing in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, continuing to mature spiritually and bear good fruit to the glory of God.

For needs of the Ministry:
- Thank God that two members joined the team this year. Pray that more members would step forward to join the team, especially young adult members at the 11.30 service to better engage with the younger visitors.

For us as a church:
- Pray for each church member's/worshipper's readiness to welcome newcomers in our midst even if they are not serving in the Befrienders Ministry.
- Pray that we will continue to grow as a church who makes visitors and newcomers welcome, that they may come to experience the reality of God's gracious love and hospitality through the body of Christ in GPC.

(We do also encourage you to continue interceding for the war happening in the Middle East. Suggested prayer points can be found in Monday's (2 Mar) prayer broadcast)

Thank you for lifting up our church in prayer today. May we be blessed in encountering the Lord's presence in prayer! React with a ❤️ when you've prayed!

Dearly beloved GPC family, we learnt on Sunday that we can always pray to God our good Father boldly and confidently, because He loves us. So let's be encouraged to come before God daily, casting our anxieties before Him and finding perfect peace and rest in Christ.

Today, let's take time to pray for the children and youths in our church community (also those working and serving them) as they look towards the March holiday break in the coming week. Even as you pray through the following pointers, we encourage you to pray over the children/youths in GPC that you know by name. Here's a few ways you can be praying:

Salvation for children/youths attending GPC
- Pray for those who attend church but have not put their faith in Jesus, that they will not just have intellectual knowledge of who Jesus but will see their need for Jesus in their lives.
- Pray that their Christian parents, peers and Sunday School teachers and other adults in the church family will exhibit the love of Christ to them, guiding them humbly, lovingly and sensitively into an understanding of God's truth and gospel. Pray that the seeds of the gospel sown in their hearts will take root and bear fruit unto salvation.

Spiritual growth for Christian children/youths
- Give thanks for those who have put their faith in Jesus. Pray that they may grow in intimacy with God through His word and in prayer, bearing the fruit of the Spirit.
- Pray that they may be good testimonies for Christ at home and in school, for opportunities to share Christ with their family/friends and invite them to church.
- Pray that there will be willing adults in church who are willing to come alongside to disciple them whether in formal or informal settings to encourage their continued growth.

Physical/Emotional/Mental/Social health and wellness
- Pray for those recovering from any sickness / injury.
- Pray that amidst the stresses and demands of school life (and other aspects of life e.g. family circumstances, friendship expectations, etc.), children/youths will be able to find rest and assurance in their identity as beloved children of God. Pray that they will be open to seek help through appropriate channels to find the necessary support.
- Pray for the children/youths to develop healthy, supportive and close family relationships and friendships

Safe travels and restful break
- Pray for journey mercies and God's protection over families travelling during the March holiday break.
- Pray that this short break will be restful for the children/youths, as well as for teachers.

GPC school ministries (Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School and Glory Kindergarten)
- Pray that the scope of education in the schools will be holistically excellent and that spiritual nurture and education will not be neglected.
- Pray that seeds of the gospel will be sown in the hearts of non-Christian students through Christian education programs in school.
- Pray that Christian teachers, chaplains and volunteers who teach and serve will exhibit Christ's love, grace and truth, inculcating Christian virtues and values in the children, so that the gospel of Jesus Christ becomes attractive to them.
- Pray for more student participation and volunteers to serve in Pei Hwa's recess outreach and Christian CCAS (Boys' Brigade and Girls' Brigade and Christian Fellowship)

Thank you for lifting up our church in prayer today. May we be blessed in encountering the Lord's presence in prayer! React with a ❤️ when you've prayed!

If you are unable to make the prayer meeting tonight, you can still be praying along using the following prayer points throughout the day.

We give thanks for the opportunities as a GPC community to be God's instruments to lead seekers into the truths of the gospel, and to help new believers grow deeper in their faith and walk closer to God. And today we lift up the Seekers and New Believers Ministries of GPC before God in prayer— those who are being ministered to as well as those serving. Here's how we can be praying for them:

I) For Non-believers / Seekers
- Pray that more non-believers' hearts will be touched and softened to sign up for the Seekers Classes.
- Pray that God's Word will be shared truthfully and clearly so that attendees would understand what is being shared, and God's will to be accomplished in them.
- Pray for understanding and acceptance of God’s Word and for the non-believers’ salvation.
- Pray for the new Seekers Class starting Sunday 15 March 2026 (we have 5 seekers signed up).

II) For New Believers
- Pray that more new believers would want to commit themselves to learn more about God and sign up for the classes.
- Pray for teachable and committed hearts for the new believers.
- Pray that the new believers will be able to see God’s hands at work and continually experience His love for them as they grow in their faith.
- Pray for protection against the evil one as they continue to grow in the Lord.

III) For Discussion Leaders/ Co-Leaders
(Discussion leaders: Edr Chan Hong Kiat, Dn Benjamin Tan, Dr Raymondo Go, Michael Loh)
- Pray for wisdom and discernment for Discussion Leaders/ Co-Leaders.
- Pray for the Team Members in the Seekers and New Believers Classes. Pray for Strength, Wisdom and the Holy Spirit’s Guidance.
- Pray for diligence and commitment amongst the Discussion  Leaders to be used by God.
- Pray for more Christian brothers and sisters in church to be convicted, able and willing to step up to be Discussion Leaders and to teach (New Believers Class).

Dearly beloved GPC family, this Sunday is Palm Sunday, commemorating the triumphal yet humble entry of Jesus into Jerusalem riding on a colt— it is the last Sunday before Easter. As we witness the ongoing wars, conflict and strife happening around us, we realise all the more that our world is truly in present and urgent need of a Saviour and King who reigns in righteousness.

Today, let's take time to pray for the places and people experiencing war and conflict, interceding before God on their behalf, that they may come to experience His deliverance and salvation. (Examples of ongoing wars/conflicts include: Russia-Ukraine war, Iran war, Sudan civil war, Myanmar civil war, Israel-Palestine (Gaza/West Bank) conflicts)

Here are some ways you can pr
ay:

1) For immediate ceasefires

- Pray that God's peace would disarm hearts and halt violence.
- Pray that leaders involved will respect the worth and dignity of individual human lives and choose negotiation over destruction.

2) For the displaced and suffering innocents in these war zones
- Pray for God's protection over them.
- Pray for effective humanitarian aid and medical help to reach those who need it urgently.

3) For godly leaders who have influence among world powers
- Pray for God to use such leaders to strive for justice and reconciliation, for moral courage to stand and act for what is right.
- Pray that God will empower leaders to play the role of effective mediators between hostile nations and parties.

4) For God's church in these places
- Pray that God would work redemptively even in suffering, drawing people toward repentance, reconciliation, and hope in Christ.
- Pray that believers will persevere in hope amidst these trials, that they may be faithful witnesses to the power of the gospel.
- Pray that the churches in these places will minister to those in need with the love of Christ, bearing the light of Christ in these dark places.

Between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday, from suffering and death to the resurrection— Christ Jesus our King leads us out of death and despair into everlasting life, joy and peace. Let us not lose hope or be discouraged in these uncertain times, but let us persevere in prayer and in hope, looking forward to the day when He comes again to reign eternally over all the earth!

On that day ,
"Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
neither shall they learn war anymore." (Isaiah 2:4)
Amen.

The EP Holy Week Convention 2026 will be held from 1-3 April

Beloved Missional Community, Holy Week is a sacred journey. It’s a time for us to pause, remember, and realign our hearts with Christ. This year’s Holy Week Convention invites us to follow Jesus in Scripture, in Service, and in His Suffering.

We’ll be gathering this Wednesday & Thursday at True Way Presbyterian Church and Friday morning at Suntec. Each message will guide us deeper into the story of Christ’s love and sacrifice.

Let’s come together as one church family. Bring your CG, bring a friend, bring someone who needs encouragement.

Live-Streaming will also be available on Wednesday and Thursday at 8pm.

Good Friday Service will be recorded and broadcast later that day.

Links for the Live-Streams and Broadcast are in the EP Holy Week Convention website: https://epholyweekconvention.org/
Dearly beloved GPC family, today is Maundy Thursday. Derived from the latin "mandatum" meaning mandate or commandment, it commemorates Jesus' giving of a new commandment to His disciples to love one another (John 13:34-35). On Maundy Thursday, Jesus also instituted the Lord's Supper, and washed His disciples' feet.

As we remember Jesus' sacrifice for us and our sins on the cross on Good Friday, let us pray for ourselves as a church today, gratefully looking to the example of sacrificial love, humility and unity that Jesus Christ embodied and commanded us to follow on the night He was betrayed.

Here are some ways you can pray:

// For us to grow in Love

"Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end... [Jesus speaking] A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” — John 13:1, 34-35

- Give thanks for Jesus' persevering love for us. He lived in perfect obedience to the Father in order to lay down His life for our sakes, so that we may be reconciled to the Father.
- Pray that we would grow in mutual love for one another as a church, that our love would include words of encouragement and truth that build up, as well as other practical ways to show love to one another in action.
- Pray that we may love one another in such a way as Jesus loved us, so that others will truly see the love of God in us and know we are Christ's disciples.

// For us to grow in Humility
"Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God, rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him" — John 13:3-5

- Give thanks that Jesus, though he was the Son of God, emptied himself by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. (Philippians 2:6-8).
- Pray that God would reveal any areas of pride and selfish ambitions we harbour, and for a humility to confess and repent before Him (Philippians 2:3).
- Pray for a glad willingness to serve one another and others in true humility after the example of Christ, counting them more significant than ourselves, and looking to their interests and not only our own (Philippians 2:3-4).

// For us to grow in Unity
"The Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” (1 Corinthians 11:23-25)

- Give thanks that through Jesus' body broken for us, He has now united us to God and to one another in the one body of Christ.
- Now that Jesus has joined His church as one body, pray that we will strive to exercise humility, gentleness, patience and love, in order to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:2-3).
- Pray that we will embrace and celebrate diversity in the body of Christ as a testimony to the transforming power of the gospel and the love of God.
- Pray that we will experience the goodness of unity in the body of Christ as we worship together on Good Friday as an English Presbytery at the Holy Week Convention, and also as a congregation at our Easter combined family service.

Greetings Missional Family,

In the Christian tradition, the colour white reminds us of purity, forgiveness, and the resurrection, while the colour gold points us to the victory and kingship of Christ, the glorious triumph of heaven over sin and death.

This Sunday, as we gather to celebrate the risen Christ, let us wear the story of the empty tomb — radiant with hope and new beginnings.

As a simple expression of this shared hope, we invite you to come dressed in White & Gold this Resurrection Sunday.

Come not merely as the colours we wear, but as a quiet testimony of the gospel we carry:
FORGIVEN. RENEWED. VICTORIOUS.

We look forward to worshipping together as one family.
See you this Resurrection Sunday @ 730am! ✝️
