ETCPC is Organized under a supervision of Africa and Arab Programming Championship (ACPC), which is part of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) that is held annually in Ethiopia. Undergraduate students in teams of three from all universities compete for the chance to pass to compete at ICPC.

CodeNight is a monthly developer program by GDG Addis where coders build interesting side projects in a week.

We gather the first week of every month as individuals or groups to build interesting projects during our spare time and demo them to the community at the end of the week.

Chiziaruhoma Ogbonda

Chiziaruhoma is a young passionate developer who started writing code in his early teens, focused on Mobile development he was a native android developer before falling in love with Flutter in its early days. He set out to learn and preach the Flutter Gospel to all who will listen using Twitter, Medium, and LinkedIn as a platform to inspire, challenge developers and show them that anything is possible with Flutter. When he's not working you can find him on Twitter sharing Flutter demos, researching his next project, or watching his favourite tv shows.

Rihanna Kedir Ibrahim

A passionate software engineer and crafter.She is WTM Ambassador and Co-lead GDG Rome. She earned her bachelor degree in Computer Science at the University La Sapienza of Rome.In 2017 she won Google Developer Challenge Scholarship and completed Front End Nanodegree program from Udacity and afterwards she got certified on January 2019 as Mobile and Web Specialist.For the last five years she has been working as fulltime Developer on administrative and banking applications, mostly on Front-end.Prior to starting her developer career she worked for years as Accountant while taking courses in Art And Fashion Design and worked as Fashion Accessories designer while earning her bachelor in Computer Science

Encode Club is a community of university students, researchers and developers building in blockchain.

The purpose of Encode is to educate, support and catalyse the emergence of new talent into the blockchain space. We work across 75 universities worldwide, running hackathons, accelerators, education series as well as investing and recruiting the best to join leading blockchain companies.

Starting on Tuesday 15th June 2021, Hack Africa challenges students and hackers to build blockchain projects that change the way Africa (and the world) works. There are over $50k in cash prizes available, as well as jobs and investment for the best hackers and projects!

The hackathon will last 8 weeks — 4 weeks for learning, and 4 weeks for hacking. You can grab a ticket for the introductory event (Tuesday 15th June) via our eventbrite.

The registration deadline is Tuesday 15th June. Late registrations are open until Monday 19th July.

The four YALI Regional Leadership Centers (RLCs) on the continent are collaborating to roll out a pilot Africa-wide virtual cohort. The application window for this cohort is open till June 11. Application details are here

The cohort will run on one learning platform and use a standardized curriculum jointly developed by the four RLCs. Training for the cohort will be conducted between August 23 and October 15, 2021. The cohort will help connect young leaders across the continent as well as with partners in the US. 
Tech Camp Ethiopia in its 2nd Cohort is to start soon for the Web Full Stack Development, 💻MERN Stack. We are looking for dedicated, active participants for the cohort's program.

We accept applications from anywhere in Ethiopia, as selection criteria are solely based on the questions you answer on the registeration form.
