It's Testimony Time Again!!

To those about to give hope in their immigration dreams, especially to Canada, this success piece is shared as motivation to encourage anyone who has been rejected more than once. This application is a reapplication for a study permit.

What GCMSWriters did Differently:

i) The client's previously denied application(s) was reviewed;

ii) The client's present personal circumstances and financial situation were reviewed;

n/1
It's testimony time again but this time it is for a reapplication for a Spouse's Open Work Permit (SOWP) after a previous refusal. What was done differently was including more sufficient documentation to respond to the officer's grounds of concern.

Secondly, a detailed and straightforward response was given using "two (2) SOWP Letters of Explanation (LOE)" to tackle the concerns in the generic refusal letter and the other gave concise analyses of the significance of the trip to Canada (to the family).

The application processing took "24 days" to get approved.

P.S. The testimony is open for verification.
Who is now eligible for the Spouse's Open Work Permit (SOWP) to come to Canada, as 'officially' announced on March 19, 2024, by IRCC?

Read the full post for insightful digestion.

Pick of the Announcement:

Quoting IRCC:

If the applicant is extending their open work permit on or after March 19

Applicants extending their open work permit are eligible for an open work permit under this stream. In such cases, the principal applicant must meet the requirements that were in place before March 19, 2024.

Quick Reminder:

Instead of the September 1, 2024, window set by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for the ineligibility of international students studying in a Public-Private College Partnership (PPCP) program for the Postgraduate Work Permit (PGWP) has been brought down to May 15, 2024.

Any international student studying in a PPCP program from or after May 15, 2024, will become ineligible for the PGWP after graduation. However, this set of international students may still be eligible for a different type of work to fill any labor shortage in the province of study after their study completion.

Another upset for the international student community as Canada set off-campus work to 24 hours per week allowing students to work 3 shifts only.

Read this post if you are unsure of the comprehensive requirements to be met before being considered eligible for the Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) after completing your study in a qualifying course or designated learning institution in Canada.

Some highlights in the soon-to-be-announced PGWP changes identified by GCMSWriters are that future international students and graduates will be required to provide:

• a job offer letter to extend the PGWP beyond 1 year;

• a language test result even if the completed study was done in advanced English language;

AND ALSO:

• the PGWP program will now be accessed by international graduates based on occupation in-demand jobs and the level/course of study eligibility;

• IRCC may work with provinces to identify international graduates who are skilled and qualified to transition into any in-demand jobs based on eligibility.

Drop your thoughts!!!
Caution:
No need to panic. The percentage of refusal from within Canada for the study permit processing is not scary but it could be if the terms and regulations guiding the study permit are violated.
Not all programs related to studying in Canada require a study permit. Who doesn't need a study permit for a course of 6 months duration or less?

Peruse the upload for the list of exemptions.
