Sadly this is still representative of an inequality in the Fandom and as mentioned in the manifesto "Participation in the Furry Fandom will increasingly become a segregated affair reserved only for the well paid and privileged."

In the current condition of the Fandom this kind of super-tier'd membership is favored over corporate sponsorship. However, as pointed out by Arctic Sky Wolf, the rewards for this tier are also unlikely to be able to be met.

We could make a Utopian ruckus and demand equall and free admittance without any knowledge of Anthrocon's costs and debts (although this info is available on Wikifur).

Instead we recognize this situation as an indication of that the Fandom has outgrown its current method of production.

Why should we continue to put all our efforts into these three day parties we have outgrown? We should obviously be focusing our resources on facilitating Furry life with full time Furry community centers stocked with artistry tools and heavier things like CAD machines accessable by as many Furries as feasibly possible.

We should be looking to transitioning the entire subculture to fascilitating full time Furry life for all of us, not increasingly elaborate parties that are accessable only by the well paid Furry labor aristocracy, are Increasingly capitalized, And unable to defend themselves from reactionaries.

This is why the Furry Party of Art and Labor proposes the abolishing of conventions-as-conventions and then reconvening them for the purpose of supporting and producing a Furry Fandom that exists daily, not just once a year.

We need Furry Democracy and specifically Industrial Democracy.

In our wildest dreams Furries in China themselves could produce the materials of our Fandom via socialized production and Furry producers here adopt the same socialized workers democracy.
