🧳 Today is a quieter day overall, but even though we still have time until tomorrow, we kindly ask for your help in starting to pack and tidy up:

- If there are things you won’t need until departure, feel free to load them into your car already

- Please take your trash back down with you – we do have central collection points (e.g. at Con Ops), but it helps immensely if everyone takes care of what they brought

- If you have extra space in your car, we’d love your help transporting sorted waste (plastic, paper, glass, etc.) in bags when you leave

They’re looking for volunteers to hop into the shower before dinner – yes, really!

Why?
The hot water is heated via the kitchen stove, and right now it’s piping hot.
To help the team out, it’d be great if we could use up a bit of that boiler heat.
So treat yourself to a refreshing shower and show up to dinner feeling fresh and fabulous!

- 08:00 – Light breakfast to kickstart the day
- 08:30 – Wake-up call in the rooms
- 09:30 – All rooms must be cleared (please pack your things directly into your cars).

What a journey it’s been – and now it’s time to team up and return the site to its original state.

🍽️ Head over for breakfast and please make sure your rooms are cleared and broom-clean by 09:30.
Leave pillows on the beds, pack your things into your cars, and let’s get ready to wrap things up together.

⏰ In 20 minutes, @Weidhas will do the wake-up round, and clean-up officially begins at 09:30.

We’ll start from the bottom up (wet rooms, mattress area) and work our way toward the dining hall. At the same time, we’ll clean top down in the main house (bedrooms, kitchen).

🧹 Staff members will be moving through the areas – please lend a hand!

The more we pitch in, the faster we’re done.

🚨 IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING FURGETHER 2026

Major changes are coming. Many of you have asked whether last year might have been the final Furgether. The honest answer is: we don’t know. We will find out sometime between Wednesday and Sunday, September 16–20, 2026.

Unfortunately, our world is often shaped by ingratitude and taking things for granted. We wanted to raise awareness that there could always be a last Furgether, whether due to internal or external reasons. No one can predict that. So please keep in mind that this convention is not guaranteed forever, and it may not always continue as it is now.

Due to ongoing changes and challenges that become clearer each year, there is a fundamental adjustment:

Furgether will now end on Sunday. Participant departure is therefore on Sunday. In the past, the team and a few very dedicated helpers did their best on Monday, usually dealing with stressful chaos that was left behind. This is no longer sustainable.

In the future, we will also look more closely at registered participants and those who have attended before. We will act more consistently toward people who do not align with the future vision of Furgether and will exclude them. There are plenty of people who truly appreciate this convention and understand what it stands for. We will not let a few unsuitable participants ruin the experience for everyone else.

A major change concerns the bar area of Furgether. Last year opened our eyes and reminded us where we actually want to go. The days at the bar with no music or at most soft lounge music were, for me personally, the most beautiful I have ever experienced at Furgether. This is what we want to focus on in the future.

There will be no more party music at the bar. Furgether is not a drinking club. If your main interest is getting drunk with the next round of drinks, you will be disappointed going forward. (Speaking personally: there are plenty of alternatives if you are only looking for partying and drinking.) I am not sad about this change, many nice people turned away from us in recent years because of how things developed, which was understandable. I hope some of them may rediscover the old spirit of Furgether and return.

I firmly believe that a Furgether focused on cozy togetherness and enjoying nature (unless another natural disaster hits) will resonate more and work better for everyone.

No one deserves stress or negative experiences at a convention. We are all part of this project. Therefore, it is only fair to consistently exclude those who go against this direction.

To end on a positive note:
Furgether will be extended by one day. It will now start on Thursday, with an optional early arrival day on Wednesday.

For a good new year and an even better Furgether 2026.
