In a nighttime operation in the Mount Dov area in southern Lebanon: Division 210 forces arrested a senior terrorist in the Islamic Jihad organization

Following intelligence indications collected in recent weeks, IDF forces raided a building in the Mount Dov area during the night (Sunday) and arrested a senior terrorist in the Islamic Jihad organization.

The terrorist was arrested and transferred for further investigation within the country. Additionally, weapons were found in the building where the terrorist was arrested.

The Islamic Jihad terrorist organization promoted and continues to try to promote terrorist activities against the State of Israel and its citizens in the northern sector throughout the war.

IDF forces will continue to act to remove any threat to the State of Israel.

We condemn the serious aggression committed by the Israeli enemy through its incursion into the town of Habariya and the kidnapping of a leader of the Islamic Group. We also condemn the bombing of a car in the town of Yanouh and the shooting of a Lebanese in the town of Aita al-Shaab.

This dangerous development heralds the start of a new phase of Israeli rampage and lawlessness based on incursions, kidnappings, and captures, putting all the people of the south at direct risk and facing a constant threat, in the absence of any deterrent or protection from an enemy that is unbound by any rules and disregards all international laws and conventions.

The Lebanese state is required to fully assume its national responsibilities, in accordance with what it committed itself to in its ministerial statement, and to break out of its state of silence and inaction, and to take deterrent measures and adopt firm and clear positions.

We demand immediate action at all political, diplomatic, and legal levels, and serious efforts to protect citizens, and not to simply make statements that do not prevent the enemy from continuing its aggressions and rampages.
