The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) affirms that the brutal crime committed by the occupation through the pursuit, liquidation, and arrest of the mujahideen besieged in the tunnels of Rafah city constitutes a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, and is conclusive evidence of the ongoing attempts to undermine and destroy this agreement.

The movement has exerted great efforts over the past month with various political leaders and mediators to resolve the issue of the fighters and their return to their homes. It has presented specific ideas and mechanisms to address this problem, in full coordination with the mediators and the American administration as one of the guarantors of the ceasefire agreement. However, the occupation has sabotaged all these efforts, favoring the language of killing, crime, pursuit, and arrest, thereby aborting the mediators' efforts who have worked hard with various international parties to put an end to the suffering of these heroic fighters.

We hold the occupation fully responsible for the lives of our mujahideen, and we call on the brotherly mediators to take urgent action to pressure the occupation to allow our sons to return to their homes, considering them a unique model of sacrifice, heroism, and patience, and a symbol of the dignity and freedom of the Palestinian people.
