This year's Independence Day comes as Lebanon is still exposed to Israeli aggression and American siege, which target its land, people, and wealth, and in light of a sensitive and critical phase that the region is going through.

The Lebanese people have presented convoys of martyrs and a torrent of sacrifices to wrest their independence and liberate their land from the clutches of occupation.

With their unity, cohesion, solidarity, steadfastness, and resistance, they were able to transform national independence into a rallying station under which all components and spectrums of the Lebanese people unite, so that Lebanon remains free, sovereign, and independent, refusing to submit to any foreign power.

Preserving Lebanon's independence today, in light of the storms and dangers that threaten Lebanon and the region, is the responsibility of all Lebanese. It requires a spirit of resistance to occupation, aggression, guardianship, and domination, as well as national awareness and a unified stance.

It also requires preserving the equations that made independence possible, defeated the Zionist enemy on May 25, 2000, broke its arrogance in the July 2006 war, prevented it from achieving its goals in the 2024 war, and dropped the terrorist takfiri project in 2017.

On this national occasion,Hezbollah calls for:

Consolidating national unity, cohesion, and cooperation among all Lebanese people with all their political spectrums and forces. This is because unity is essential for confronting Israeli aggression and preserving Lebanon's independence.

Rejecting any form of submission or external dictates. Lebanon's independence can only be achieved by rejecting any external project or influence that does not serve Lebanon's interests.

Defending Lebanon's rights over its entire territory and natural resources. This includes affirming its right to defend itself against any aggression.

Holding onto elements of Lebanon's strength without compromising them. This will preserve national rights and thwart projects targeting Lebanon.

Making every effort to compel Israel to implement a ceasefire agreement. The international community must pressure Israel to stop targeting civilians.

Taking practical steps towards rebuilding southern Lebanon after years of conflict.

In conclusion: A nation that has made great sacrifices will not accept threats to its sovereignty or dignity. The Lebanese people will do everything necessary to preserve their freedom.
