A delegation from the leadership of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, headed by Khalil al-Hayya, the movement's head in Gaza, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his accompanying delegation in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Thursday.

The meeting reviewed political developments and the ongoing Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip, where the occupation continues to commit genocide against our people, including crimes of starvation and murder using all kinds of brutal methods. The meeting also reviewed the threats threatening the Palestinian cause and attempts to liquidate it, annex the West Bank, and divide the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The two sides discussed diplomatic contacts aimed at halting the aggression, thanks to the generous efforts of mediators in Egypt and Qatar, and the contacts being undertaken by the movement's leadership in this regard.

The meeting also discussed the Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran last June and its repercussions on the conflict with the occupation and on the region.

For his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister affirmed his country's firm position on the Palestinian cause and the role of the Islamic Republic in this regard.

He emphasized that the Zionist occupation is the enemy of the nation and humanity, and said this meaning has been confirmed thanks to the steadfastness and sacrifices of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
