Someone on Twitter responded, "Where is the upper peninsula of Michigan????" Who wants to tell him?
For those not in the know, here's where a monument to the largest seasonal snowfall in 🖼️ is on display: Eagle River (not the one in Wisconsin). Town of 65 in Keweenaw county, county population: 2046. It's situated on the Upper Peninsula, with a population of 301,000. Even if you consider the whole 16,000 sq miles as a single metro, it wouldn't be even a third of the way to the 1,000,000 metro population requirement to make it on the list.
Average snowfall: about 300 inches per year, easily beating Buffalo. But nowhere near not enough people to make that list. And that's a good thing.
