My old house was too rural to get trick or treaters. New place is on the edge of town, so we got some.
Replying to the Yooper Hospitality post because of one family doing something I'd never heard of. Was a Father, Mother, and 4 kids. Kids took their candy, but then the Mom came over and gave the wife and I both ham and cheese sandwiches. They're going around and giving food to people who are set up for trick or treaters.
