Full disclosure on why this is being polled:
So I was somehow able to get Simple LMK, a kernel-based low memory killer, working on One UI 3.1 with a very simple change to the system. This however, requires userspace LMK, the one One UI uses to be disabled completely.

System overhead is one of the major reasons of why I'm doing this. Samsung's Wi-Fi driver cannot handle too much load or it crashes the whole system with it, which has been reported multiple times and I have experienced myself as well. Simple LMK is able to significantly decrease overhead and is able to allow the device to use more RAM for userspace (i.e. apps).

Since I'm certain that other kernels won't implement Simple LMK, largely because it doesn't work on stock One UI ROMs without modifications, this will make Fresh Core the only kernel that will work flawlessly with the ROM.

The addon in question will re-enable userspace LMK, as well as make sure that it will be able to provide adequate performance with your kernel of choice. In this case, installing Fresh Core again will require uninstalling of this addon. Because Android (nor Fresh at this point) has no reliable way of distinguishing between Fresh Core and another kernel, this compromise has to be made.

I honestly want to hear your opinions before I implement this rather major change.

If SafetyNet is failing for you, do NOT panic. Google has released a "fix" that makes Fresh's workaround fail SafetyNet.

As a temporary way to pass SafetyNet for users on the current 3.2.2 stable and beta testers running latest 3.2.27:

1. Install the MagiskHide Props Config module from Magisk and reboot
2. When setting up, select a device that does not have hardware TEE/keystore. Most of these are devices made before 2017-2018.
3. I'm not sure if only changing device fingerprints will work, but if it still won't pass enable Device spoofing as well.

Do note that this makes Galaxy Store and Themes stop working. OTA updates for Fresh will work as usual.

I'm currently formulating a more sustainable way to do this, although it may not arrive in time of 3.2.3's release.

Fresh 3.2.3 stable is now rolling out to all devices starting tonight! This release brings huuuuuuuuuuuuge performance, stability, and security improvements to your device running Fresh.

Highlights include:
- Samsung's August 2021 security updates for the Galaxy A50
- Mint, a new kernel designed for efficiency and stability
- Samsung RAM Plus support is here just a week after Samsung released it on the Galaxy A52s!
- Alleviate device crashes due to Samsung's bad Wi-Fi driver. Random reboots fixed. :>
- Major improvements to memory management, performance, and battery life. Fresh's flagship experience is much smoother and much more enjoyable.
- Updates to some applications to One UI 3.1.1, more to come on Fresh 3.3!

Update regressions:
- Google SafetyNet will not pass by default on several devices. This is to be fixed by next update.
- Camera app still crashes when selecting ratio on Fun Mode. This is an issue from 3.2.2, and will be fixed very soon.

As this update is currently rolling out, it will be slow to download on your device. Wait for a couple of hours (or a day) until SourceForge mirrors the update to a server near you.

A minor update... to the update:
I'm currently pulling out the OTA as I haven't merged an important change that may cause addons like Samsung DeX and Dynamic Blur to stop working. OTAs will start rolling out again in an hour or two.

If you have already installed the update, it is advised to uninstall and reinstall these addons to make them work again.

Issues have been sorted out and 3.2.3 is now rolling out again to all devices!

As this update is currently rolling out, it will be slow to download on your device. Wait for a couple of hours (or a day) until SourceForge mirrors the update to a server near you.

If you're still having issues passing SafetyNet, here's a verified, working way to pass it.

1. Remove all Magisk modules that try to pass SafetyNet, and doesn't work. Reboot.
2. Install the "Riru" module from the Magisk app.
3. Download kdrag0n's Universal SafetyNet Fix and install on the Magisk app.

You might need to clear data for apps that check for it (i.e. Play Store) for them to re-check again.

I guess today's also the right time to announce this.

Fresh will stop bundling "fixes" to pass SafetyNet starting Fresh 3.5. The speed at which Google patches these fixes are steadily going fast.

From the major enforcement of hardware attestation last January, a minor "update" that invalidated almost everything, and an update today that basically kills MagiskHide.

I'm getting tired chasing fixes and Google fixes it as if it's a cat-and-mouse game. Not only this slows down and steals development time from the more important things, it also affects device performance on varying degrees.

Fresh 3.5 (or a future update) may include Magisk v24 (aka. Zygisk-enabled Magisk) as part of an update to Mint, Fresh's default kernel. This will make it easy for users to pass root checks as well as provide more powerful features to Android, One UI, and Fresh.

If an app stops working for you because of SafetyNet, please report them to the official Fresh Community Discord.

I honestly have no more control over this issue. Thank you for your understanding.
